What a lovely, quirky little play. The characters are intriguing and really draw you into their romance. True to life, since they are in the early stages of their relationship they are appropriately awkward with each other. Delightful story. Highly recommend!

  • Dan Taube: Magic of Ladie M.

A very funny absurdist play. Great use of a Greek chorus and just very creative and unique in it’s writing and conception. Very politically oriented, but in a funny way! It’s a wonderfully hilarious re-telling of Shakespeare’s “Macbeth”. Macbeth funny? Oh yeah! In this retelling of the story, we get the pleasure of having Lady M as the protagonist. And what a protagonist she is! Wonderful feminist themes, with extremely relevant comedy. It’s a hoot and a holler!

  • Dan Taube: MAMA (3-minute play)

Cycle of life indeed. Also, the ending brings to mind, “Cats in the Cradle”. Which is to say this is the most epic 5 minute play I’ve ever read. The sped up passing of time element is fascinating. Give it a shot, I know you’ll enjoy it!

  • Dan Taube: Tybalt

I really enjoyed reading this play. Tybalt is a fascinating character plus the way James puts the different pieces together is very theatrical. Satisfyingly theatrical. I kinda wish he’d do a companion piece for Bernardo from West Side Story.

  • Dan Taube: One Night In September

I loved this play. I was immediately pulled in by the great characters and polished writing. In addition to the sexual assault, which was harrowing, Dana Hall really captures what it's like to be a college student in this day and age. All of the characters had something to offer a potential audience. Would love to see this produced. Highly recommend.

  • Dan Taube: THE WAY HOME

Just finished watching this online. It is a very powerful play about family and changes and the nature of unconditional love. The characters are very relatable and the story is moving. I hope this play gets a lot of productions!

  • Dan Taube: THE LESSER LEYENDECKER, a 100-minute full-length drama, LGBTQ+ themes

Stunning play! I had the privilege of seeing this play developed in my writers group. It has a lot to say about art and the nature of artists as well as compelling themes of addiction, family and the imagination. Fascinating characters that are neither good nor bad, just strikingly human. Unapologetically theatrical. You can literally see the play as you read it. You definitely should read this play! Highly recommend.

  • Dan Taube: The Doctors Call

Wow. An incredibly powerful impact for just three pages. There is so much humanity in this piece, perfectly realized. I felt for both characters. The doctor has such a difficult job to do and she does it with great care and dignity for her patient. An excellent piece!

  • Dan Taube: Narcissa, Narcissa

An incredibly powerful play about learning to love yourself. I was very moved and inspired by the writing in this piece. I have always loved the myth of narcissus, and this play humanized it in a truly dynamic way. Don't hesitate. Read this play!

  • Dan Taube: Hat Trick

Loved this play! Such an uncomfortable set of circumstances. Makes you wonder what you would do in this situation. Also, you learn so much about the characters in such a short time. Read it. Produce it.
