Number 3 in the collection THE WRINKLE RANCH is notable for its natural dialogue in a difficult situation. The space behind what is said is what's strongest in this piece: the "yups" and the "I knows" matching the lovely balance within this couple where not much need be said to be understood. It rings true. A short piece certain to bring out many differing emotions from the audience. Bravo.

Weeks reminds us with this piece that we "might be forgetting that these are children we’re talking about". However wrapped up in fate they may be. I love plays based on mythology and especially stories that makes us root for the 'underdog' (sorry for the pun!). This tale of two of the children of Loki is all at once accessible to those new to the Norse pantheon but the portrayals of Frigg, Hel, Odin, Loki... will ask even those familiar with the myths to question the morality behind it all.

Oh, those cash cows! I could see this facetious monologue working very well as an audition piece for an actor "somewhere between 35 and death." Well done.

This play addresses a topic that unfortunately still needs to be addressed and perhaps always will; PTSD, ("shell-shock") and the need for people to know when they need to seek help. With sincerity and clarity, Powell addresses --through the parallel perspectives of patient and healer-- the horrific effects of war long after our veterans have returned home.

A fun short. If you've ever been on a first date with someone you've met online, or even considered one, you can imagine trashier scenarios, but you cannot imagine one as clean and sweet as this.

Great fun! A short piece where actors will be able to explore their 'inner dog' and learn not to act like cats. Short and sweet.

I love how we learn along with Scott about his misadventures of the evening before. Fun, fully fleshed out characters. A real delight! Bravo.

Painful but important. I especially appreciate Strom-Martin's sensitive portrayal of the mother, Caroline, and the character's dignified, insistent need to travel, move on. Beautiful and painful imagery here. There is much left unsaid in this short piece for three strong women which allows us to recall our own memories and/or fears as the playwright gives us the space and time to do this. Bravo.

I love Bray's use of Roethke's poem in this piece. Like the poem itself, this short play for two females is gritty and yet poetic. The tension builds slowly and surely as the stakes rise. Bravo!
