A great spooky horror monologue. I love how Christopher Soucy slowly builds the tension throughout as the main character slowly descends into madness. I can see this being performed in short play festivals especially during Halloween. Well done!

A profound short monologue. You learn so much about this character and she tells such a compelling story. I was thoroughly engrossed from the first line until the closing. Exceptionally well done and would be a wonderful part for any actress to play!

This is a gripping dark comedy/drama. From the engaging premise, to the relationship between the characters, to the numerous references to the theatre, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. This is a fascinating character study and would be a dream for two actors to perform. Well done!

As someone who loves playing chess, I appreciate all the humorous references to the game within this play. From the mentions of "twins," to the way the characters move, I was laughing out loud. Mix all that with an engaging premise and you have a funny short play perfect for all ages. Well done!

A beautiful short play that works equally well as a drama and as a fantasy. The characters feel so real and the dialogue is compelling. I especially like how I was able to get drawn into this world that Monica Cross created so effectively and quickly. Excellent job!
  • Cupid Retires . . . Again! (A Monologue)
    14 Feb. 2022
A great short monologue. In addition to being a great, funny premise, this monologue also properly addresses the changing times. I love how Cupid addresses that people don't flirt in person anymore and rely on texting now rather than face to face interactions. This will be a lot of fun at short play festivals especially around Valentine's Day. Well done!
  • The Nutcracker's Sweet!
    14 Feb. 2022
As someone who has been to see productions of the Nutcracker around Christmastime, I thought this was a wonderful sequel. I love the tributes to the original, yet I love the modern feel of this one. Loaded with humor and fun, I can see this becoming a Christmas classic as well! Well done!
