  • Rand Higbee: Georgie Gets a Facelift

Daniel Guyton has a quirky sense of humor and it is on full display in "Georgie." Read (or produce!) and enjoy.

  • Rand Higbee: Still Waters

Simple, easy to stage play, yet the emotions brought out are many and complex. Arthur Jolly knows how to get the maximum out of 10 minute plays and this one on the grief of losing a child is proof of that claim. Quit reading my review and read this play.

  • Rand Higbee: PARTNER OF —

Rachael Carnes packs a great deal into this short work. It's an historical play and yet she is really commenting on a great many topical, current events. You should really stop reading my comments and instead read this excellent little play.

  • Rand Higbee: A Cosmic Touchdown

Listed as a one-act...but it's a long one-act. Probably between 60 to 70 minutes. I am familiar with several of Barry Levine's plays and this is probably his most memorable. It's full of teenaged woes, but with a supernatural twist...and a good sense of humor. I think this would be a great play for high schoolers or community theatre. Check it out.

  • Rand Higbee: One is the Road

A man is trying to keep his mind on his driving while other thoughts filter through his head. Written with a poetic style, this is a thoughtful little play that is also quite easy to produce.

  • Rand Higbee: Teenage Oysters

Emily Hageman is a playwright who can be serious, funny or sometimes completely off the wall. This is her completely off the wall play. And it's a quick read so go for it!

  • Rand Higbee: The Jinx

What's more important? The new, wonderful girl in your life? Of your favorite sports team? Keep in mind that team is the Red Sox! A great little gem from Dominica Plummer!

  • Rand Higbee: The Elephant and the Light in Claire's Suitcase

For a ten minute play, Romero throws a great deal into this little gem. It's thought provoking enough that you will want to re-read (or re-watch) it immediately to try to put all the pieces together.

  • Rand Higbee: Ask Me Anything

Job interviews can be intimidating, but this one is hilarious as well. A little gem of a comedy from Phillip Middleton Williams.

  • Rand Higbee: God On Our Side

I saw this play at the Last Frontier Theatre Conference a couple years ago. It's obviously inspired by the story of Tim Tebow, God's quarterback, but even though Mr. Tebow might be fading from our memory, the issues brought up here are not. If you like a sports & theatre check this one out.
