  • I had the privilege of seeing this play performed at the Bridges and Stages Festival in Pittsburgh. Kim has a mastery of language and dialogue. This show is a perfect example of how her characters are real, breathing--they feel like they're ripped from life. This show about familial obligation vs heart's desire immediately brought me in. I was hooked. This is a great show and an amazing introduction to a new favorite playwright. I can't wait to see/read more.

  • Set in a time of great change, the play follows Eleanor as she navigates life and love in 14th Century England. She draws upon stories of old to help process the trials and tribulations of her life. The show pairs historic songs, drama, comedy, variable cast sizes, and the unique ability to stage it as simply or elaborately as the production company desires. Like all of Nora's work, it's a rich historical and accessible story that any contemporary theater goer will enjoy. I very much enjoyed it.

  • Ahavah

by David Lipschutz and Dana Hall

What an amazing show about loss, acceptance, and love. AHAVAH is love. It’s an examination of grief and self with amazingly witty dialogue and the best type of comedy, truth. There is so much in this short play for the actors, audience, directors. There is little wonder why it’s been so successful. With the world the way it is we need more shows like this. We need more Ahavah.

  • Park Benches is a play about love, sacrifice, grace, and the permission to let go. It's about the pain of the survivor and the courage to move on. It is one of those special scenes that benefits from the simplicity of the staging and instead allows the performers the opportunity to shine based on their performances alone. Such a lovely and impactful short play.

  • Robert J. LeBlanc: Sacrifice

I love a classic horror comedy and this is one of the best. It has everything, the wit, the comedy, the one-up, and a massive ending that will leave the audience with a rush. If you're looking for a show to anchor a night of horrific laughs, this is it.

  • Robert J. LeBlanc: Stork Patrol

Sometimes a show comes along that hits you so hard you immediately write a recommendation for it and then forget to hit "submit" because you're distracted and can't get the show out of your head. This is that show and more than a year later I'm back to recommend it again. No punches were pulled, or deserved to be pulled, in this sharp and cutting piece about the current hypocrisy of the overturning Roe v Wade. Like all great near-future dystopia, this show shines a harsh light on the failings of our own society. This show is the perfect protest.

  • Robert J. LeBlanc: Monologue - "A Rainy Night in Hollywood"

This touching piece, a monologue from Tom Erb's "A Rainy Night in Hollywood," highlights the power of morale in the face of the overwhelming unknown. Rita Hayworth reminisces about her time on stage in the USO as an ambassador of escapism during the war in Europe. It's a focus on her gratitude for sacrifices made by the men she was there to entertain. It's a study of stardom, not for the Hollywood stars who strutted the stage, but for the men who fought and died in battle. Very well done.

  • Robert J. LeBlanc: Sleep Talker

Dark, terrifying, funny, this show has everything. The emotions run from tender love to terror. Any person in a long-term relationship will be able to identify with this show. Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn always manages to expertly add humor in just the right places to help ease the tension and bring you deeper into the story and this brilliant story is no exception. I would love to see this staged. So good.

  • Robert J. LeBlanc: No More Flowers

Sometimes a flower is just a flower. Sometimes the interpretation of a piece of art says more about the viewer than the artist. Sometimes Freud is just Freud. This drama about objectification and interpretation is laced with moments of true comedy. You’ll love this show and if you have an art degree, like me, you’ll love it even more. This brilliant work deserved to be staged.
