  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Boxed In

I had no idea where this ten minute play was going to take me, but the message, the tiny details and the killer blow line were all worth the journey! A perfect, fast-paced piece to add to a festival of plays. The audience won't know what hit them!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Leave it to the Angels

A different twist on the "helpful angel" story. Hilarious concept, with two 1980s valley girl types with all the wisdom of eternity trying to make good in someone else's past.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Walter Comics

This over the top farce has a strong message about not wasting the time you have while you are here. Walter wishes he were anyone but himself and throws away a life he never knew he had. Fast-paced, laugh out loud play that makes you think.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Destination - Full Length Horror Play

This feels like a classic thriller or Twilight Zone-esque movie. The stakes are high and the characters are hard to read at first until we start pulling the layers away. So cool and full of tension through the very end.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Boys Will Be...

Wow. This play starts so warm and inviting and you are drawn in to this group of friends as they grow and learn together. Learn what is expected of them, learn what they want out of life. And suddenly, we see their worlds crumbling around them as they try to fit into the roles that are expected. By the end the audience will be destroyed along with the characters they grew up with in 30 minutes. Absolutely crushing. I really want to know more!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Curious Tale of Marston Moore's Untimely Demise

So pleased to have had the chance to read this. People will love how active and comedic this recounting of Marston's last moments on earth can be when reenacted by the goofy and beautiful St(eph) Peter! A great role for a young actor as well. And as Brompton's mom, I am honored to have his name in this play and hopefully in audiences hearts.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: A Complicated Hope

This play is like a beautiful painting. "Sunrise on the water." There is so much depth to it, the more you look at it, the more you discover. And the more you learn about yourself. I can see exactly why this won so many awards. I can actually hear the words out loud in my head. Engaging, heartbreaking...and yet, as intended, with a ray of hope.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: See, This is Why I Hate Plays

As a writer, an actor and possibly a character stuck in a play with no plot and no ending in sight, I can relate to and love this play! Audiences will love watching as the fourth wall falls and the characters in this "play" flounder about looking for their reason for existing in this particular cafe and at this particular time. A lot of great theatrical tropes are shattered as well as embraced! This will be the favorite play of the festival!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Y & Z

I remember doing open scenes in acting class. This is kind of like those open scenes, but you absolutely have to make choices for your characters that will be devastating...This can be terrifying as a radio play. It can also be a terrific acting exercise like an open scene. It would be interesting to assign this to a class and have each pairing try to illustrate what they believe IT to be without saying what IT truly is and see if the rest of the group can guess. This is absolutely an experimental piece in the best possible way!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Trapped

I absolutely adore this short play! It highlights in such a funny and familiar way what isolation can do to your perspective on the world. But also, I see Mother Gothel as a sympathetic mother who failed to protect Rapunzel by overprotecting her. Audiences will be laughing at the conspiracy theories set in this fairytale world. Just wonderful!
