Truly a sweet, oddball, offbeat, goofy romance - I mean that in the best way! Refreshing. Provenza certainly has a strong voice and a gentle sense of humor in this one. Glad to have read it.

  • Bryan Stubbles: The Bookstore

The loneliness of the poetry book. This is a fun play. Reads very quickly. If you've ever wanted to read a play with an illiterate book as a character, this is that play. O'Grady constructs and builds upon jokes very well. Would love to see this produced. Funny stuff.

  • Bryan Stubbles: Oxygen Thief

A very brave monologue for the right performer. This scenario happens all too often in our military. A sobering piece. One can only wish for a sequel in which the soldier discovers the joys of fragging. Hageman delivers again.

  • Bryan Stubbles: The Next Step

So this easy super-duper funny, and not just by NPX standards. Absolutely loved it. Dead body with some attitude. Some great lines, including BODY: You can go downstairs and enjoy your family for a while. And by "enjoy" I do not mean, "spend all day comparing yourself to." - Strayer has one heck of a play, hopefully one that gets many more productions.

  • Bryan Stubbles: Mission Trip [A One-Minute Play]

The hypocrisy of dumb white America in only a minute. Good work!

  • Bryan Stubbles: DRAGON RIDER VISITS VERMONT

It's rare to find fantasy stageplays - even rarer if they have dragons...and a story with a heart of gold. Recently I led a sci-fi and fantasy short playwriting seminar for my local writers group. This was one of the plays we analyzed. Good stuff!

  • Bryan Stubbles: Billion Dollar Properties

Once again, big business is very wise. Truth in satire here. Good work!

  • Bryan Stubbles: In the Cards

A sweet little play. Fun use of tarot cards and a dopey ex-boyfriend. I'm a sucker for plays with lines that are rare to hear in real-life....one of those is "I'll sic Booger on you" and another is "Ohmygod, take your piss-soaked records and get out of my apartment." Whimsical mayhem. Did I mention that cat's name is Booger von Mayhem? Manikowski is a talent worth watching. Good work!

  • Bryan Stubbles: Crush Hour

This sits (hehe) as a timely reminder of how screwed up American culture can be. Zutter plunks manspreading head-on. Good stuff. Lovely lines: "Well newsflash you’re not the only one on this train with genitals! What do you think I’ve got down here a smooth, plastic Barbie twat?" - a wonderful piece for a female actor. Keep up the good work!

  • Bryan Stubbles: INCREDIBLY CUTE

Wonderful satire. Solid send up of technology. Some very good lines from a very sentient device. One of my favoritesmocking Buzzfeed: “Choose Your Best Sandals for Summer and We’ll Tell You Which “Rugrats” Character You Are.” - Carnes strikes again!
