  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: Night Shift

Oooooh this play is great. It sucks you in and has you wondering what is real and what is in Celine's mind. So, so well done! Gabriella Bonamici packs a whole lot into only 48 pages and keeps you guessing. I loved it!

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: Some Guy Masturbated In The Ocean

I read this one for the title, and oh boy did it deliver. Such quick, sharp dialogue, and so many twists and turns. It was a crazy ride. I will definitely be checking out more of Max Mondi's work!

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: I WILL NEVER PLAY HAMLET

What a beautiful monologue about art and aging and letting go of dreams. It’s bittersweet and a fantastic opportunity for an older actor. Lovely work!

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: failing at a 1-page play festival

Well, this is delightful. Even Satan has an inbox full of rejections from theater companies. John Mabey has written a fun one page play that had me giggling.

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: Playing With Fired

"Playing with Fired" is too much fun. I loved it from start to finish, and every twist along the way was perfect. It deserves all the honors it has received, and more.

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: Noir Hamlet

"Noir Hamlet" is delightful! It's exactly what its title implies, and it could not be more well done. It's clever and fun and very silly at times. I would love to see it live, especially that final showdown. I enjoyed every last one of John Minigan's words (Words? Words.)

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: THE 13TH CRIME

This play is a HOOT. Saint Nicholas and Father Christmas had me giggling before Santa Claus even showed up. What a fun, imaginative piece! I would love, love, love to see this one in an evening of short plays, Christmastime or not.

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: All Grace

Wow, what a great play this is! It weaves together art and inspiration and identity and faith into this gorgeous, engaging story about the creation of a church in the French Alps during the 1940s filled - much to the pope's chagrin - with religious imagery created by modern artists. I loved both the play and the results of the Google image search I just completed, looking at photos of the church and the artwork that Chris Leyva brought to life so vividly in "All Grace." Sooo good!

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: FLOATING BUBBLES

What a sweet, silly play! Two people who march to the beat of a different drum happen to sit on the same bench at lunchtime and realize they just might hear the same beat. There's a lot here for actors to work with, and the simple location (park bench) makes it easy to stage. This would be a really cute one to see live!

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: NINEVEH

Nineveh delves into church politics among members of one of the more intolerant strains of Christianity, and how they attempt to square their beliefs with the world they inhabit. It is a quick, fascinating read in which characters I first saw as villains became heroes, characters I first saw as heroes became villains, and other characters just struggle to survive among them. Very interesting work, with some surprises along the way!
