  • I love how you recognize that SOMETHING is off about this blind date pretty quickly, and then spend the rest of the short play puzzling out what it is. I always enjoy a good forbidden love story!

  • The stakes in this short are hilarious (register the kid for summer camp before it fills up), but as any parent will tell you, there are no higher stakes than that. I was equal parts anxious and delighted the whole way through, which is rare place to be. Love it!

  • I love the pacing of this play, as the most awkward conversation between strangers zips along, and the jokes keep coming. So much fun!

  • Wooow this short is tense and surprising and unfortunately feels all too relevant for today. I love the pacing, how we slowly figure out the situation from the dialogue, and I especially love the ending.

  • My favorite thing about this sci fi full length - among many things to love - is what it has to say about human nature and our ability to make things tribal and sow division and debate who is worthy no matter what situation we find ourselves in, even if we were literally starting humanity over. The play ruminates on love, free will, human nature, and more - all from millions of years in the future, after Earth and humans are long gone. So, so clever. So much to think about.

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: Ugly Doctor Hospital

This short radio play is a very good time. I heard Broken Arts Entertainment's production of it, and they nailed the silly sound effects and the over the top line deliveries. What a smart, funny script, mining the audio format for every possible joke. I was thoroughly delighted from start to finish.

Oh, this one-minute play is sad. It's hard to elicit strong emotions when your story only lasts for a minute, but this one manages to pull it off.

This short satire feels like something that could very much happen in today's actual reality, which is a little disconcerting, but it makes for a great (and suspenseful!) play. This one is a wild ride!

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: Erstwhile No More

This short perfectly illustrates what it's like growing up female. I love that Elise stands up for herself, and I especially love that this short begins when she's 12, because girls get sexualized way too young. Fabulous work.

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: The Full Magnolia

This play about a failing community theater whose members try to turn things around by performing a naked rendition of Steel Magnolias is both a delightful comedy with many roles for women over 40 (!!) AND a sweet love letter to the theater. Each character was distinct, and they were all thoroughly charming as they grappled with whether they should - and whether they could - perform without any clothes on. What a great ensemble piece!
