  • Enid Cokinos: The Bachelorette Party (Ten Minute)

Poor, reserved Sheila doesn’t stand a chance against persistent, fun-loving Moira, who is set on including her friend in this “scandalous” celebration. A terrific premise, loads of humor, and I love that Paul Donnelly provides actresses “of a certain age” a chance to really shine. The Bachelorette Party is a winner!

  • Enid Cokinos: The Art of... Dating

A deep dive into the Art of Dating from three unique perspectives: the dreamy romantic, the cynic, and the commitment-phobe, afraid of being alone forever. There is much to enjoy in this one-act play by Anastasia Wild and the themes will hit home for many! This will be an entertaining show for audiences and actors alike, and I love how she breaks the 4th wall at the end.

  • Enid Cokinos: NOT Snow White and the Seven Dwarves

A delightful play putting the famous Dwarves front and center…and we get the dish on Snow White, too. Rachel Feeny-Williams’s brilliant humor is on full display in this short production that is sure to be enjoyed by audiences of all ages.

  • Enid Cokinos: ONE MAGIC NIGHT (one-act)

A unique, dark twist on a classic fairy tale giving voice to Cinderella’s coachman, the poor rat struggling to come to terms with what happened on that One Magic Night. Dwayne Yancey’s use of the rat’s dreams to introduce the psychiatrists and Cinderella pulled me in and kept me reading.

  • Enid Cokinos: Crackers for Christmas (A Reindeer Play)

Crackers for Christmas is a perfect read as we countdown the days to Christmas. Vixen, Blitzen, Dancer, Rudolph, and dim, but loveable, Donner are delightful and their personalities shine through in this story of Elfin Christmas when the reindeer team celebrates Santa’s elves for all of their hard work throughout the year. An imaginative play by Robert Weibezahl with a solid message for everyone trying to make everything perfect for the holiday: “There’s nothing more perfect than having fun.”

  • Enid Cokinos: The Angel

Goodness, I did not see that coming, and apparently neither did JACK. The old adage (and tag line for play) “Be careful what you wish for” is spot on. MAN (not your typical looking angel) reminds us that absolution has a price. Robert LeBlanc’s play has a noir, gritty feel that pulled me in from page 1.

  • Enid Cokinos: Another Night Before Christmas

Another Night Before Christmas is a delightful musical full of humor and heart. The characters, the storyline, the lyrics—it’s a perfect mixture of what this magical season is all about. The songs are all lovely, and something tells me that “Please Send Me Christmas” will make even the Scrooges in the audience weepy. Hats off to the musical team of Sean Grennan and Leah Okimoto for this fabulous piece of theatre.

  • Enid Cokinos: The Wise Sayings of Guru Dave

Poor Robin. Thirty hours on a plane and hiking for two weeks in order to reach Guru Dave and receive his words of wisdom on the meaning of life…after kissing Dave’s feet of course. Not sure this aging hipping’s advice was what Robin had hoped for, but Guru Dave sure had a good time. A fun two-hander by Daniel Emlyn-Jones.

  • Enid Cokinos: Divan Intervention

DIVAN INTERVENTION is a charming story where everyone wins in the end and all thanks to a decades-old couch on the sidewalk. Robert Weibezahl provides us with an unexpected and satisfying ending when we learn where the couch will wind up, giving it a purpose in its new home. An enjoyable play for any festival.

  • Enid Cokinos: Gemini: Lessons in Self-Love

JACQUELYN PRISKORN gives us a heavenly look at the pitfalls of real-world dating in this short play. These two souls have seen it all through the ages and decide to try a new approach to finding true love…combine personalities to become one person. Let the fun begin! Witty dialogue and quick switches between comical settings—a dating game show, a bar, and a grocery store—makes Gemini: Lessons in Self-Love a guaranteed hit in any one-act festival.
