  • Enid Cokinos: Red Wine (MONOLOGUE)

A humorous take on “bad girl” Teresa’s afterlife. This snarky lady of a certain age is instantly likeable as she sips red wine in her fiery red dress, and tells us how it all went down. Perfect imagery letting us know this beauty from the Golden Age of Hollywood did not end up in heaven! A fantastic monologue by Peter Fenton.

  • Enid Cokinos: STEALING A KISS

Can love blossom between two characters at a bus stop? You bet! I adore Harvey; an extroverted personality, who readily admits “I’ll talk to almost anyone or anything. Strangers, squirrels, dogs on leashes, my car when it wouldn’t start this morning…but that was more yelling than talking.” He eventually breaks through Sue’s tough outer shell and the result is a touching second chance love story. Laurie Allen’s relatable characters and dialogue makes STEALING A KISS a winner.

  • Enid Cokinos: Some Enchanted Evening

This play was so fun, I read it twice. Ms. Hexe (love this kooky character!) is “Running low on energy. Only one good spell left.” Her intentions are noble, but her incantation doesn’t bring about the results she’d hoped for. As Evie and Pru battle with simple words like “yes” and “no” poor hunky Matt, who just wants a date, doesn’t know what to make of these confused girls. A perfect play for teen actors and audiences of all ages.

  • Enid Cokinos: Slow Dating

Adam Szudrich has crafted a touching monologue sprinkled with just the right amount of humor, ending with an unexpected twist that pulls at the heartstrings. SLOW DATING will take audiences on a lovely emotional roller coaster ride.

  • Enid Cokinos: Crossing an Ocean (MONOLOGUE)

This short monologue gave me chills. Peter Fenton reaches beyond the surface question “have you ever been in love?” and digs deep into what it really means to be in love, all those small things that add up to that one giant emotion. CROSSING AN OCEAN will have audiences sighing and nodding their heads in agreement; yes, they know exactly what this character is talking about.

  • Enid Cokinos: All Thumbs

What a fun play! The comedic interaction between these characters—the seasoned movie critic and the enthusiastic job applicant—is perfectly written, and actors will have a fabulous time bringing them to life on-stage. ALL THUMBS is a treat for audience members of all ages. Definitely two thumbs-up!!

  • Enid Cokinos: 10...9...8...

10...9...8... by Guy Newsham is packed with humor and some of the highest stakes possible. The Second Officer’s roll in this rocket launch was unexpected and had me rolling! Audiences of all ages will enjoy this short play and I can see it getting produced again and again.

  • Enid Cokinos: "Little Black Dress Chocolate Cake"

Recipes are not just about food; they are pieces of our life story, something to pass down from generation to generation (the ones written by hand are the best!), and LITTLE BLACK DRESS CHOCOLATE CAKE by James English captures this beautifully. I was rooting for these ladies to include yummy little morsels about the who, the when, and the where behind every recipe going into the Fort Benson Cookbook. A touching, memorable play.

  • Enid Cokinos: The Guest Room

Jacquelyn Priskorn has penned a moving play about May and Dan navigating the “after” of every parent’s worst nightmare. THE GUEST ROOM is certain to stay with audience members long after the house lights come up.

  • Enid Cokinos: Mick and Ernie go to Therapy

Two hapless thieves on the run suddenly find themselves in couple’s therapy (what a fabulous premise!). This situation is certainly not what they expected when they dashed into a building to get away from the bobbies, but maybe therapy is exactly what these longtime friends have needed to clear the air. MICK AND ERNIE GO TO THERAPY by Mike Byham is full of brilliant humor from start to finish.
