  • North Star
    8 Feb. 2023
John Kelly has penned a poignant play set more than a hundred years in past about three siblings coming to terms with their mother’s recent death. NORTH STAR is a lovely reminder that prayers work wonders.

    5 Feb. 2023
BABA MIKEY by Christopher Plumridge is a touching monologue that will stay with audiences long after the lights come up…and wishing they had stuffed a few Kleenex into their pockets.
  • The Copilot
    14 Jan. 2023
Arthur M. Jolly’s short play THE COPILOT is the perfect reminder that everyone’s path in life is different; the trick is finding what works for you. Sometimes that epiphany hits you at the strangest time, like when you’re perched atop a sign in Yosemite National Park. A heartfelt play with a touching ending.
  • Shared Calendar
    14 Jan. 2023
SHARED CALENDAR by Allan Maule is a treat for audiences of all ages. A young couple loves their technology-packed lives but can’t figure out who put an entry on their shared calendar…or why. A whodunit, of sorts, loaded with wonderful true to life dialogue and humor. Actors will have a lot of fun with these characters.
  • Sorry I'm Late
    8 Jan. 2023
Dana Hall’s short monologue SORRY I’M LATE is packed with humor and warmth. The character’s line: “…no one should have to eat alone” cut right to the heart of her concern for a fellow citizen. Lovely.
  • Garland, Gynos, and Gurneys
    13 Dec. 2022
Megan Ann Jacobs’ play GARLAND, GYNOS, AND GURNEYS was a delightful addition to Christmas at the Playhouse in Westfield, Indiana this past weekend. I was pleased to be in the audience to watch this sweet story about young Chase’s dad and aunt working together to help him deal with conflicted feelings about Santa: jolly guy in a red suit or destroyer of families? Jacobs’ play is full of touching dialogue and wonderful humor, and it was a pleasure to watch it come to life on stage.
  • A Requiem For Shermy (a ten minute play)
    13 Dec. 2022
I had the pleasure of seeing A REQUIEM FOR SHERMY during Christmas at the Playhouse in Westfield, Indiana on December 10. Mark Harvey Levine is a master of short plays, and with his unique style and humor, he brings some of the Peanuts cartoon characters to life in this wonderful parody on “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” A perfect addition to any Christmas play festival.
  • Ten Minutes 'til Christmas!
    5 Dec. 2022
Brian Vinero touches on every possible holiday movie trope in TEN MINUTES ‘TIL CHIRSTMAS and I was laughing so hard I was crying by the end of the script. What a fabulous short play!
  • What I Saw on Christmas Eve: A Monologue
    3 Dec. 2022
A touching short monologue by Cole Hunter Dzubak reminding us that there is a little bit of the Santa spirit in everyone. This would be a perfect fit for any holiday short play festival.
  • The Mummy Husband
    3 Dec. 2022
THE MUMMY HUSBAND has a 1960s Dark Shadows vibe infused with perfectly timed humor. Oh, the things Lilith will do to get her husband to help with the household chores! The actors are going to have a lot of fun with these characters. I would love to see this on stage, especially the actor playing the Mummy Husband!
