I write plays that engage and empower senior women for the same reason I became an actor in my 50s: to fearlessly and truthfully give voice to people who often go unnoticed, and (in the words of Terrence McNally) to write stories that matter. I especially love unexpected moments of courage, kindness and beauty, and stories that reward perseverance, virtue and hope despite the odds.
