I believe in writing what I know, writing what I'm curious about and what makes me react within a continuum of emotional extremities. Above all, I represent many things and boxes and peoples and they all get to talk and hurt and fail and succeed and live and die in my work. As a Caribbean storyteller oral traditions and Sankofa are everything, so now I must look back, pass on, pay forward and write all of it, or at least keep trying.
