  • Cindi Sansone-Braff: The Harsh Reality of Dating a Poet

This short, one-act musical reminded me, why as a writer, everything I create is layered and veiled so that no one I know and love will pull-a-Mary on me and run for the hills. Although Freddie and Mary are deeply connected, Freddie’s inability to stop putting Mary’s life on display is a continuous source of pain for her. Torn between his love for his writing and the love of his muse, Freddie pays the ultimate price for being a writer. Bravo!

  • Cindi Sansone-Braff: Free Will

A well crafted, thought-provoking short play, with several great roles for actors. Fast-paced and funny, I would love to see this play staged. Although written as a comedy, this one-act play effectively deals with some heavy themes, such as: untimely death, reincarnation, and life after death.

  • Cindi Sansone-Braff: PRACTICE HOUSE

A hauntingly disturbing full-length play, set in 1933, which makes you laugh and cry as you witness what was considered higher education for women. With many great parts for women, this would be a great play to stage on college campuses around the world to remind us all that times have changed, yet, there is still so much work left to do before true equality for women is obtained. Bravo!

  • Cindi Sansone-Braff: A Small Attempt to be a Specific Woman, But Really Doesn't Mean Anything, Just Ignore Me

This powerful, poetic, and poignant monologue is an incredible vehicle for any actress of a certain age. This play addresses the coming apart at the seams midlife crisis that women tend to want to blame on menopause, but it’s really that “aha” moment when a woman realizes that she has fed, clothed, and nurtured everyone but herself. Suddenly, she comes to the harsh realization that she’s emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually bankrupt. The kicker is that women tend to apologize for somehow not feeling happy and grateful with their lot and for having needs and desires of their own.

  • Cindi Sansone-Braff: Tactile Creatures

Loneliness makes for strange bedfellows. Breaking up is hard to do for sure, and picking up the pieces and starting over offers challenges of its own. This short, one-act, where the characters can be any race, age, or gender, could play out in countless different ways depending upon the casting. It’s poignant, funny, and the ghost adds a supernatural twist to an everyday common occurrence - relationships not working out. Bravo!
