I used to ask, “How can I get my foot in the door?”
I didn’t realize what I was really asking was, “How do I get my brown foot in the door that wasn’t made for me?” Now, I’m going to take my brown foot and kick the door down, making an archway for everyone to walk through.
I am a poet, playwright, performer, and creator of dangerous playgrounds to explore vulnerability and honesty. I strive to uplift the voices from what I consider a, “silenced perspective,” through strong onstage representation. Through bringing my work to life across various mediums, my mission is to advocate for inclusion and diversity on and off stage.
