  • Chewie, Get Us Out of Here
    4 Feb. 2021
Extremely geeky science fiction fun that pinballs from reference to reference at warp drive speeds! A pitch-perfect spoof of the genre hallmarks that would be great fun to put on at any ten-minute play festival as well as at any geek culture convention. Reading this did my nerdy heart good.
  • The Unforgivable Sin of Falling In Love With You
    3 Feb. 2021
There are some damn breathtaking monologues in this heart-wrenching look at the breakup of a rocky relationship that’s gone a bit toxic. Matthew Weaver puts the reader so vividly in each party’s shoes; I’m jealous of whatever lucky actors get to dive into this material.
  • Collector's Item
    2 Feb. 2021
A vinyl collector’s worst nightmare, brought to hilariously chilling life in a single minute. Unforgettable.
  • Our Play
    1 Feb. 2021
I have shockingly never been in a production of Our Town, but I did LOTS of theatre in high school, so “Our Play” touched a deep nerve of nostalgia for my drama club days. This absolutely pitch-perfect look at theatre kids in all their messy, awkward, hormonal glory through the lens of Thornton Wilder’s everlasting contribution to humanity just oozes with universality.
  • The Man in 119
    31 Jan. 2021
A silent film on stage about grief and desire and moving on, soundtracked to perfectly-chosen opera cues. Wordless but full of so much emotional depth. Scott Sickles is a maestro. Bravo.
  • Ground Control to Baby Tom
    31 Jan. 2021
A thought-provoking and very enjoyable sci-fi ten-minute about motherhood, responsibility, and why it’s sometimes okay to break rules in the name of scientific progress.
  • The Presidency of William Henry Harrison in Real Time: A 10 Minute Play
    30 Jan. 2021
A thoughtful and fun exploration of what you leave behind as your legacy, as told through the lens of a most unexpected - and by the end, well deserving - American president. And only in ten minutes! History buffs like myself and audiences in general will be charmed by this play on the precedent of presidents and peaceful transfer of power.
  • American Juggalo
    30 Jan. 2021
Insanely theatrical and unhinged docu-theatre in all the ways you’d expect a play about the Insane Clown Posse and its juggalo fanbase to be; but also a genuinely touching look at fan culture and the most unexpected of chosen families in ways I truly did not expect. This play is completely unironically a miracle.
  • Coney Island Baby
    30 Jan. 2021
Gleefully weird and charming, with edgy but necessary political humor and winking metatheatrical touches. So basically, EXACTLY the kind of musical I’d expect Andy Boyd to write. And boy does it make me miss my summer day trips to Coney Island.
  • You Have To Promise
    30 Jan. 2021
A gently powerful queer coming-of-age story, beautifully and poetically told. Audrey Lang’s work holds you in the palm of its hand and doesn’t let go. I loved it.
