  • Anne G. Morgan: Human Resources

I had the great pleasure of dramaturging HUMAN RESOURCES for the 2021 Great Plains Theatre Conference. This smart, engaging, opposites-attract play showcases a relationship not often glamorized onstage - coworkers whose proximity breeds care. And, in doing so during this time of social isolation, the play almost makes one nostalgic for the office. The writing is spare, specific, and very funny.

  • Anne G. Morgan: Shadow of the Son

A fresh, theatrical, and utterly compelling play built from ancient Greek myths. The nonlinear structure invites audiences to engage more deeply in the storytelling.

  • Anne G. Morgan: Deadline 2037

I am delighted to recommend this play after having had the pleasure of attending a zoom reading of this play when it was part of Hollins Playwright’s Lab 2020 Playwrights Festival. Deadline 2037 is an engaging play with a scarily realistic premise. The play has great parts for older actors, and, throughout the play, the ground keeps shifting for both the characters and the audience in really satisfying ways.

  • Anne G. Morgan: My Shame is Your Demon

I am delighted to recommend this play after having had the pleasure of attending a zoom reading of this play when it was part of Hollins Playwright’s Lab 2020 Playwrights Festival. My Shame is Your Demon is a taut and well-balanced two-hander. By teasing apart the narratives that the characters have created for themselves, the play compellingly explores culpability, memory, and family.

  • Anne G. Morgan: miku, and the gods.

A theatrical treat. This play is funny, smart, and self-assured. I could picture a production of it in my mind as I watched the reading, and now I want someone to produce it so I can see the real thing. I especially appreciated the lightness with which the heavy themes were handled, and I loved the chorus of the gods.
