  • Hannah Lee DeFrates: Idemo!

Oh, poor Bruce! All he wants is a Batman birthday, and now he and Batman have something in common...a tragic backstory. How will Doug and Sue cover up their mistake, and what will the kids think? "Idemo!" is a silly-goofy farce that will both keep you on the edge of your seat and make you laugh.

  • Hannah Lee DeFrates: To Fetch a Pail of Water

Imagine what the dispatcher is thinking when Jill calls about her husband who fell down a hill after failing to get...sorry, "fetch" a pail of water. Well, in Morey Norkin's cute comedy, we don't have to just imagine it, the dispatcher just might find the rhyme and reason. What a fun spin on the story of Jack and Jill!
"To Fetch a Pail of Water" is a silly little short, fun for all audiences.

  • Hannah Lee DeFrates: Fiddle Faddle

Oh, that's funny. Randy Hunt's funny dialogue pits Henry and Tony against each other in a war of words..."potty words" in fact. Will Tony get Henry to break, or will Henry convince Tony that his language choices are just fine? "Fiddle Faddle" is a silly-goofy time.

  • Hannah Lee DeFrates: The Bean Thing

Beans! When in doubt on what to have for dinner, fate decides on "The Bean Thing" for Ellie and Dean. Cute!

  • Hannah Lee DeFrates: In A World...

In a world of rom-coms with similar endings, Voiceover Man is here to make sure Carl and Nancy get the plot twist they never saw coming. John Busser has done it again, written another hilarious comedy with witty dialogue and perfect timing. I would love love love to see this performed!
This play made me laugh out loud. I do feel bad for Carl though...

  • Hannah Lee DeFrates: Moon in a Barrel

"Moon in a Barrel" is a cute comedy with all the charm of older comedies like "Green Acres" and "The Beverly Hillbillies." What lunacy to catch the moon in a barrel, but the excitement of Faye and Hermann almost makes you wish that they really did somehow capture a celestial body. Rand Higbee's delightful comedy gives a lot of opportunity for actors to play into the folky farce. Reading this play has given me a homey feeling and a longing for simpler times.

  • Hannah Lee DeFrates: Thunderbolts

Adorable! Short as this play is, it leaves a lingering feeling of satisfaction and hope. I love supportive roommate, Beth...and just like her, I too am left rooting for the happiness of shameless Melissa.

  • Hannah Lee DeFrates: Battle of the Karens (from the THE WRINKLE RANCH AND OTHER PLAYS ABOUT GROWING OLD collection)

Make sure you've got the manager on speed dial... "Battle of the Karens" gives us a satirical view of the way "Karens" treat employees. Outrageous and witty, this play is the battle you didn't know you needed. Two Karens...one "employee"...only one can be crowned rudest of them all. Well done!

  • Hannah Lee DeFrates: Poison Anyone

Martha Stewart who? In Keely Kurtas-Chapman's fast-paced revenge comedy, Tim reaps just what he sowed after sweet housewife, Cynthia learns a dastardly secret. The gossip is hot...or is it smoky?

  • Hannah Lee DeFrates: Petty Drama Officer

So silly-goofy! "Petty Drama Officer" is an ode to validating the little things that annoy you. Petty Drama Officer Lorraine is here for your tepid takes. With Scott Cantrell's satirical dialogue we get a glimpse at the dynamic between Newberry and Lorraine...or is it Larry?
    The tea is hot...literally.
