  • For a ten-minute play, it packs a lot of punch and would fit well as an episode of The Twilight Zone—great dialogue and the ability to unravel the mystery of the scene.

  • The play establishes precise physical and emotional changes depicted through the growing forest in the motel and the changes in costume pieces for the lead. Excellent adaption of Where the Wild Things are and the old Two Wolves myths with contemporary topics of relationships, deforestation, and cultural norms.

  • The play examines reputation and status around one great piece of music. The play establishes clear stakes and consequences for the characters as the worlds of art and church mold together.

  • Oh boy howdy, this is an excellent piece of Sam Shepard-esq theater. This play uncovers the dark scars of youth and coming of age in a broken family structure as the wills and strong desires of others manipulate Kim’s world. Andy Boyd brilliantly examines choice and coming of age through a distorted lens.

  • TEACH is a timeless piece of theater that examinesgender bias on multiple levels in American school system. Donna’s writing cuts deep into the subject matter in unique style through the creative staging of the piece.

  • Eric Roberts: Liar Upon the Starship Limpidius

Liar is a gripping piece of sci-fi writing that is curious in its use of mysterious shadows, multiverse manipulation, and interspace travel jargon. Cianon can wrap it all together into an engaging short piece of theater that leaves the reader anxiously anticipating the following line of dialogue. It is an excellent work of short theater that creates a pressure pot of a situation that leaves you guessing who to believe to the end.

  • Eric Roberts: The Summoning

This fast-paced coming-of-age dark comedy was a delight to read. Charlotte’s ability to write authentic dialogue for three distinct characters makes the reader feel for each character at one point. Great moments of situational, slapstick, and conversational humor. This play would do great at small theaters, festivals, or on college campuses. Cheers to them!

  • Eric Roberts: 1,001 Arabian Nights: The Story of Aladdin

I liked the magic and whimsy that this script brings to the source material and the stage. Domenick’s adaptation is playful and essential as it addresses the power of storytelling and the risks of power. The characters are fleshed out and create this outstanding play inside of a play feel. I loved the author’s use of language and humor throughout the story.

  • Eric Roberts: Awkward Robot's Instruction Manual For Dating Other Awkward Robots

With all the manuals at bookstores, this manual would be most welcome and relatable. Matthew Weaver creates a love story through pointed monologues where the characters process their feelings to hilarious, quick banter between characters. Weaver’s quick wit and ability to write authentically shine powerfully in this quirky theater piece.

  • Eric Roberts: Stupid Ghost

Ghosts are the worst, right? Savannah mixes humor, and supernatural with a coming-of-age story. The Poltergeist is such agent of chaos that made the whole play an interesting read. It's is wonderful that this play about truly feeling and discovery exists.
