I fully appreciated the 'life is like Tetris' that is discussed in this play. James creates a complex and interesting scenario as these young people debate various issues, all while considering their own lives and the world of creativity. Its a play I can imagine being discussed at length in the pub afterwards because the powerful dialogue as well as the inspirational monologues can't help but inspire debate. If you're looking for a play that taxes your own thoughts on the complexities of gender, society and relationships then this is the play for you!

Holly's story is one of emotion and heartache with a powerful message. Not only is Holly's story one you get invested in but, as each character joins the story you are just as invested in how their lives are going to turn out. Backed by powerful issues like abortion, adoption, same-sex marriage/relationships, and the prejudices that attack them, this story is one to inform, educate as well as entertain. Holly's story is one people should consider and take notice of because, regardless of when the scenes are set, you can still learn a lot! A wonderfully created story!

In the world of domination/submission in relationships its generally acknowledged that it is based on trust and (to a certain extent) maintaining control over another person. Well, Sam has taken that concept and driven it to a dark and terrifying place. Personally, I had a deep dislike of Marcus and his tone from the word go which descended into hatred as the play went on. This shows how much of an affect Sam's writing and his characters can have on an audience, its a tremendous opportunity for one actor to play a dark and twisted character!

So, I want to say loads of fabulous things about the story of this play and how it puts a similar line of story to shame, but I can't, because that would ruin it for others who will read it, and believe me you should! This fabulous comedy/thriller keeps its audience entertained and guessing from the word go. Relationships are complicated most of the time without throwing in the additional 'complications' that Stacey and David have, which Brenton has created brilliantly, they are characters I want to see, want to direct and frankly...I want to play. Brilliant piece!

I've never wanted to yell profanities at a person so much as I did by the end of this play but in a good way. I won't say any more about the ending but Allie has created a wonderful snapshot of the word of cold calling that twists and turns until you're not sure where its going. Then just when you least suspect it, she launches the ending at you. It a play that sure to entertain audiences and leave them speachless by the fabulous ending. Want to know what it its? Then read it! You wont regret it!

Standing down a true evil in society, especially when that person is your father takes guts! That's what Evan shows in spades here. Stephen's play shows us as the audience that we don't have to stand aside and let the loud and the arrogant dictate our lives, as Josaih tries to do. Its a play that shows a brutal snapshot of how politics and religion can completely obliterate relationships. It offers power and perspective in equal measure, which I think in our society, would proove very effective. If you're looking for a piece to have an affect, this is it!

The background world of theatre is not one a lot of people understand when they don't have hands on experience, that is what Lisa has presented here in such an amazing way. You, as the audience have the great fun of witnessing the chaotic world behind the curtain. I loved this play from start to finish, especially the ending, which you need to read to enjoy!

The way Liz draws the audience into the stories of Cora, Annie and Kate with ease is utterly fascinating. When a piece jumps between times there is sometimes the risk of confusion or pull of focus from the audience but in this case you are captivated by each story as you move from one to the other. Offers a fabulous chance for 3 performers to play powerful and interesting female roles.

What would happen if Dr Seuss took on the world of unemployment, adult friendships and drugs? Well if you've never asked that question I have provided you with an answer. Its this wonderfully funny and brilliantly constructed piece, all in rhyming couplets! Creating anything in rhyme is always complex so the fact that Alexander has not only done it but made it so entertaining to read is a sign that it is more than deserving of a production, see if yourself and enjoy!

Shakespeare once said 'if music be the food of love, play on', well in this case Vidalia has used music as one of the many fabulous tools in her arsenal to bring this incredible play to life. Centred around characters trying to "afford some creative fuel" I love the fact that this play explores the dark and the controversial with no appologies. If you're looking for honest theatre that is sure to entertain an audience as well as giving performers a chance to play some powerful characters, all set to the sound of punk music, then this is for you!
