  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Alchemy of Zoom

We recently had the pleasure of reading this piece at our weekly play reading and I found it a brilliant example of how zoom plays (and indeed Zoom) have become part of our lives. It is a wonderful play and is sure to be well received by audiences.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Devil Exclusive

We had the great privilege to read this piece at one of our weekly play readings and found it a very intriguing analysis of the world we live in and the way we see it. Very cleverly done!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: altitude

So, a play that keeps you guessing. But Daniel Prillaman's "Altitude" will keep you guessing...and guessing...and guessing. Its a wonderful piece that you're not sure where to 'put it' but that's ok. Reading it you have a wonderful feeling of not knowing how you're going to feel from one moment to the next. We live our lives catagorising things and plays are no exceptions but Daniel has broken through that rule and the result...truly spectacular! Read it, then read it again and just enjoy it, because audiences certainly will!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: freeplay

The fact is 'sex sells' and "FreePlay" is show that could prove that true! Justice Hehir takes four fabulous character, sprinkles them with brilliantly witty and thought provoking dialogue and places them smack in the middle of the sex industry. Its a perfect cocktail that creates a wonderfully funny piece. Produce this play and you won't be disappointed! The sales from merchandise of "ask me about orgasms" shirts would make this play a hit on thier own. Couple that with the brilliant writing and you can't go wrong.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: A Complicated Hope

Stories of loss can be complicated and difficult to write but John Mabey shows extraordinary skill here as he guides his audience through the heartbreaking events of this family's life as they exprience loss, secrecy, emotional change and relationship complexity. Its a beautifully written piece that is sure to have any audience feeling with/for the characters and will have an audience feeling privileged they were able to see this piece of the characters lives. It doesn't suprise me that its had such a prominent production history.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Pangea (Part Two of The Second World Trilogy)

Scott says that while this set of plays is meant to be a trilogy, each story is meant to stand on its own and by god this story does. This piece will throw aside all your skeptisisms about sequels. Scott's brilliant building blocks of brilliantly created characters, terrifying surroundings and a complex but beautiful relationship, they are all just as present here as they were in part one. I read this piece in one sitting because I was struck by a desperation to know how it will end and I know an audience will feel the same way.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Tiana

This is a wonderful heart warming piece that will have you wanting to hug your own parent or child by the end. Christian has created two wonderful characters in the mother who means well and is trying to make up for lost time and the son who's trying to figure out what he wants their relationship to mean. The dialogue is full of wonderful social/entertainment references that had me giggling. If you're looking for a play that analyses a complex relationship but is still able to give it humour, you can't do any better.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: What We Deserve

Relationships are always complicated to get right but in this case David makes it that his characters keep trying until its right. Its a well paced tale that gives the audience the privilege of looking into these peoples lives and how their relationships develop and grow. I think actors in this piece would have a great time 'hot seating' their characters because there is so much to see and learn from them. The play would resolate with audiences, plays on relationships do, and would leave much room for discussion afterwards. I thoroughly recommend it.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Big Picture (a ten minute play)

Memories of lying on the living room floor colouring with my own crayons came flooding back to me as I read this piece. Its a brilliantly beautiful concept with some delightful and 'colourful' characters (had to be done!). This piece would make an amazing piece for children or adults. Its beautiful to look at, brilliantly funny and heartbreaking to listen to and would make a wonderfully entertaining piece for any kind of audience. Versatility in all directions, what more could you want?

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Clownfish

So we all know weddings are stressful times but Amy Dellagiarino has taken it to a whole new level. Through this piece you are introduced to several characters as they try to make sure the wedding goes off without a hitch, which of course invites problems. The wonderfully witty dialogue and the chaotic action all balanced with the seriousness of Erica's story makes this a brilliant piece to read. I think put before an audience they will love it!
