  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: SORRY (NOT SORRY) [10-Minute Play]

From the beginning you can feel the tension mounting in the dialogue and you immediately question what the events are that have brought the characters to this place. Nathan continues to draw you into this dark and tension fuelled scene between these two characters and not letting up until the very last moment (even though you are desperate to know who they are). I can imagine this piece being uncomfortable for an audience to watch in the best way, it holds you captivated with tension you can cut with a knife! Brilliantly written even though it is heart wrenching!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: James Walters and the Case of the Miramar Murders

From the moment the voiceover 'noire' style started this piece I was hooked! From there Brian Cern takes you through a wonderful adventure with beautifully created characters, a brilliant story that keeps you guessing (as a good old fashioned detective story should) and all framed in the noire styling makes this piece brilliant. It would be brilliant to watch as the visual element of set and costumes would just be the icing on this lovely cake...of murder! Very well written.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Magna Mora

Oh my lord! I've never known tension like it. The idea that this one poor bloke is responsible for fixing everything is quite a terrifying thought but Brian Cern has the ability to escalate the tension and hold you captivated for the whole piece. That coupled with the end...well its one of those plays that just keeps you guessing and thinking.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: House on Fire

This is an incredible piece of powerful language and creates an image in your mind of this woman having to go through the most humiliating thing a woman can go through and then to be let down. I think this would be an asset to any showcase and with the right actress would be a phenomenal performance! It forces the audience to listen and think about the questions Megan is asking. Its wonderfully powerful theatre!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Trapped

I love a 'fairy tale twist' play and Adam Richter has created a real doozy. Taking the traditional fairytale setting of Rapunzel and mixing it in with modern technology has blended perfectly here. While you are sat there laughing at the things the smart phone has 'taught' Rapunzel the piece is also one that will make you think about how much of a role technology plays in our lives and how big of an influence it is. Its a brilliantly written piece that will provoke discussion. Very well written by Adam Richter who truly has a gift for comical pieces.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Just The Same As You and Me

Quite an intrieguing twist on the seasonal tale of 'frosty the snowman'. This short piece makes you smile in certain places as you think back to the snow days of your youth but it also forces the audience to think and acknowledge about the state of the world we live in. Its a piece that's bound to have people debating afterwards in the pub and I think that is what makes good theatre.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Warning Shots (Short version)

I can say that if I was sat around a fire listening to Aella tell her story that I would lean forward in anticipation (because that's what I did when reading it). Not knowing a greate deal about the Civil war, I found this piece
fascinating, educational and emotionally heart wrenching all at the same time. Its wonderfully written and with the right actress peforming it, there wouldn't be a dry eye in the house!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: When I Open my Eyes, a Monologue

This is a story that has stood the rest of time and its represented beautifully in this monologue. I can see the actor stood there pouring his heart out to an unseen woman. You feel for him as you read his words of anguish and unrequited love. The monologue stands as a strong piece for any actor alone but I think the story of him and Elyssa could make a great full length play, if only because it means you find out how it ends! I got to the end of the monologue and was dying for more!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Glory Obscured

Drawn in from the tagline, I loved the word play in this piece. I can say it had me giggling from the very beginning. As the play went through Maximillian Gill constructs a brilliant scenario in which an Angel has found themselves cast from heaven and is 'educated' by a demon on the simple pleasures of living on earth (in this case drink, spicy food and freedom of choice). In addition to making me laugh it also made me think, if I was in that same position, would you want to go back? Very thought provoking and brilliantly funny.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Rewrite

As a writer, I always appreciate a play that looks at what I do from the inside out, and Tom Moran has done a spectacular job of that! Coupled with the funny dialogue I loved how the writer intertwines problems that any writer will be familiar with. The despieration, as the author desperatly tries to keep his novel on track is brilliantly created with fabulous characters. I think if I'd been faced with that I'd have given up and got for a gin and tonic! Its a wonderfully funny piece that will have writers in the audience relating!
