  • THIS PLAY IS INCREDIBLE! The characters are so well written that you leave with a strong opinion on each of them, whether you like them or not. The romance keeps you invested throughout the entire play. The structure flows beautifully and fits the concept of a story being retold on the stage. And the dialogue is a masterclass in the difficult art of giving each character their own unique voice. Nonsense and Beauty is a gorgeous look back at LGBTQ+ history to show how far we've come and can go.

  • I love when a play leaves me going "what the f#¢&"! This play is crazy, wild, absurd and hilarious! It's a play that shouldn't make sense but everything comes together in a way that surprisingly works beautifully. I would definitely love to be front row for a production of this marvelous play.

  • Really interesting surrealism play that explores how confusing toxic masculinity can be, and how the "alpha male" mentality can go around in circles at a million miles an hour... And yet go absolutely nowhere.

  • Such a beautiful story with amazing comedic beats, that shifts into a powerful and uplifting message to the audience by the end. Absolutely incredible how much beautiful writing was compacted into this fun short play. I would love to hear a production of this story.

  • Picked this up at The Drama Book Shop in New York.

Absolutely loved this play! The relationships between the characters are so raw and believable. The non-linear approach creates a wonderful mystery aspect that allows the viewer to put the puzzle together after viewing the individual pieces. Definitely a beautiful and well written exploration in grief and the lives affected by a loss.

  • Scott Cantrell: Hansel and Gretel: The Tables Turned

A fun take on the classic fairy tale we all know and love. And the multiple references to other tales are woven in beautifully. I did not see the plot twist at the end coming and it was brilliant. Hope to see this show on the stage.

  • Scott Cantrell: Live on National Television

This is such a tense and beautifully written play. I felt my heart skip a beat multiple times. The characters are so lovable and I very much enjoyed reading it. Would love to see a production of this.

  • Scott Cantrell: The Active Oval

Such a beautifully written piece. Both of these characters are adorable, despite the sad material. And I enjoyed every page of this wonderful script.

  • Scott Cantrell: Étude (Ten Minute Play)

I'm not sure if Marcia was studying me when I write plays when she came up with the Writer character because that was so relatable, I found it shocking. This is a great artistic take on the old saying "the grass is always greener somewhere else". Myself, and a majority of artists, have at one point or another had these conversations with themselves and so to see it represented in a stage show, it can put that into perspective for the general audiences unaware of how difficult it is to even just write a short ten-minute play.

  • Scott Cantrell: Grace

My mind has been blown by this monologue. This new interpretation of the word 'grace' brings a whole new perspective to life as we get older. This piece will make you sit and ponder a multitude of questions, as it has done for me. A well written monologue for anyone wondering about life as we age.
