  • Scott Cantrell: Break a Leg

Such a cool concept for a play! Perfect for smaller theaters looking for something in October. The characters are beyond believable and the twist ending will chill audiences to their core. This needs to be produced ASAP!

  • Scott Cantrell: Getting to Know You

This scene starts quickly and does not let up. You feel for these characters and the situation at hand. Definitely a great scene to do for character study.

  • Scott Cantrell: Coming Out to Uncle Jake

Short, sweet, to the point, and funny. Put all those together and you get this wonderful short play.

  • Scott Cantrell: The Last Spin Cycle

An absolutely remarkable play. Beautiful stage moments that I'm dying to see performed one day. The relationship between Caraway and Meadowlark is wonderfully written, and the story will leave audiences thinking well after they return home from the performance of this piece.

  • Scott Cantrell: The Rental

Yeeeesss! Love a good horror play! This is dark, twisted, and leaves you wondering what's going to happen next!

  • Scott Cantrell: Blizzard

I read this while listening to blizzard sounds and it pulled me right in. The stakes of the child causing the slight tension between the parents and ultimately leading to the decision in the end worked together beautifully and the pacing was very realistic for the short period of time. As the play went on, this comfortable and intimate feeling became a feeling of claustrophobia and I enjoyed every moment.

  • Scott Cantrell: The Raven

Such a hilarious take on the classic poem. With the original showcasing a man being driven into madness because of a raven, this take showcases a man being driven into madness because of the understudy for the raven. Would love to see a production of this.

  • Scott Cantrell: Five Bears - a very short play

Such a cute story that showcases many parts of a relationship compressed into a 'very short play', with an ending that is screaming to be staged, and I'm screaming alongside it.

  • Scott Cantrell: Buy The Book

A wonderful story that showcases the awkwardness that comes with purchasing personal items in a public place in a small town. These two cousins are realistic, and relatable. I'd love to see a production of this!

  • Scott Cantrell: Night Visits

This is a powerful and moving piece that showcases the stages of grief in a way that relates to the members of an audience who has lost a loved one. The wit is sharp and fun, and the dramatic moments hit you right in the feels. A beautiful play.
