  • The Trial

Once it starts it tears through the pages. A star chamber seeks to destroy a woman accused of witchcraft, and are challenged by the defendant to justify their claims, which they find difficult to do. Much food for thought here, as well as gruel for the maintenance of cosmology. Directed with energy, this could be terrifying.

I had to read this twice just to process all the imagery and content embedded in every line. There's so much in this: characters who appear fully realized and stay in your memory; their desires, dreams, heartbreaks all happening while . I would love to see this staged; it would be beautiful. A play full of magic, emotional and spiritual.
  • Happy deathday to me!

A hard lesson for bully victims about standing up to their oppressors. Kindly written and to the point. Makes me want to see more about Esther--she's so fascinating!

Every word about child rearing is true. Read no further than this hilarious, terrifying, all-too-honest tale of why some people should never adopt and the agency we all wish was there to successfully discourage them. I can definitely see this on stage with three actors having the time of their lives.
  • Good Boy?
    17 Jun. 2021
Makes you think twice about dating ANYONE who has a devoted dog. The fact that you (think you) know who's gonna win this battle makes no difference--it's a riot watching it happen. A fun short for big laughs!
  • The Challenge
    17 Jun. 2021
What a fun play: misunderstandings, a hapless gent, more misunderstandings, a lonely accident waiting to happen, and to top it off, an enraged wife who misunderstands everything. This will be a rollicking script for three game actors to have fun with!
  • E-Mail: 9/12

Who doesn't know where they were when they heard about 9/11? Email: 9/12 takes us on a journey from the initial shock and disbelief through the ensuing confusion to realization. I could not stop reading and remembering. Ms. Guererra has crafted a powerhouse of emotion woven fluidly through dozens of characters and scenes from all over. This play would be a creative director's challenge and a bold actor's workout.
  • They Float Up
    27 Mar. 2021
So many things happening here; it's a flurry of images--hearts in pain, desires for absolution, and two people aching for just one more chance. These two could be anyone who's lost in life and up against it, but their kindness comes through, making this a moment in time about the cost of hope.
  • A Moment of Clarity
    27 Mar. 2021
Touching, tender, and absolutely terrifying at the same time when you think about getting older and not having control. This is a beautiful play; simple and truthful.

Where did this play come from? Don't care--Need more from there. Play very funny, and ring very true about absurdity of life.
