  • George Sapio: Cabfare For The Common Man (a ten minute play)

Definitely captures the essence of living in the modern world...not as much control as you want, not as much wisdom as you need. But Life does continue, and negotiating is as much chance as luck. A lovely play that always keeps you right with the action, hoping that it all works out as best it can.

  • George Sapio: The Green Book Wine Club Train Trip

What a remarkable work. Full of passion, compassion, heart, and faultless truth. And more than its share of wicked lines. I would love to see this onstage.

  • George Sapio: THE LAST DATE

A very disturbing play, but one that the audience will not easily forget. Not an easy play to pull off; it moves quickly; you'll need actors who can keep up. *Highly* memorable and could easily be the hit of a short play evening.

  • George Sapio: Old Girl

A life reconstructed post-expiration. Dreams and desires and pain all coming together, finally able to be dealt with. A very touching piece.

  • George Sapio: Ms. Claus

I really like this applicant for the job of Santa. She shows a great deal of foresight, strategic planning, and understanding of her clientele. Clearly this young lady has done her homework extensively. She's flexible, intelligent, and fearless, all critical traits in a job where one needs to fly in the dark at 30,000 feet being pulled by a team of large ornery animals. Certainly she would be a welcome and remarkable role model for all of the younger women in the audience. I say Ho Ho Ho!

  • George Sapio: The Heroes in This Story

I hate that this play had to be written. But it had to, and Emily brings these four unfortunate survivors to us in a way that makes you want to weep for them. Bravery is doing something you don't want to do in the face of something you cannot avoid. These kids are trapped, and that is another senseless tragedy. Very well done indeed.

  • George Sapio: Trojans

Pretty darn funny. This would be a great evening of absurd theatre.

  • George Sapio: Horny Orderly - A Symphony of Sex and Sorrow in 11 Minutes & 47 Seconds

Sex and sorrow covers it. A headlong journey through sexual and emotional loneliness, this play proceeds at a lightning pace, hits hard, and leaves you wondering what just happened.

  • George Sapio: The ___ Wedding (20 minute)

A very thoughtful and powerful moment in life; three good people all wanting the same thing, but no two needing it the same way. Love and heartbreak, dreams and nightmares, all genuinely done in 10 minutes. With the right cast, this could be joyfully devastating.

  • George Sapio: Straight Card

I think what gets me the most is that there really are people like Dylan who Just Don't Get It. I wanna send Dre a basket of flowers and a hug. A short piece but packs big impact. Some pretty funny lines in here, wedged in between the uncomfortableness. Moves quickly, with a raw truth, and is about as honest as you can get.
