  • George Sapio: The Heroes in This Story

I hate that this play had to be written. But it had to, and Emily brings these four unfortunate survivors to us in a way that makes you want to weep for them. Bravery is doing something you don't want to do in the face of something you cannot avoid. These kids are trapped, and that is another senseless tragedy. Very well done indeed.

  • George Sapio: Trojans

Pretty darn funny. This would be a great evening of absurd theatre.

  • George Sapio: Horny Orderly - A Symphony of Sex and Sorrow in 11 Minutes & 47 Seconds

Sex and sorrow covers it. A headlong journey through sexual and emotional loneliness, this play proceeds at a lightning pace, hits hard, and leaves you wondering what just happened.

  • George Sapio: The ___ Wedding (20 minute)

A very thoughtful and powerful moment in life; three good people all wanting the same thing, but no two needing it the same way. Love and heartbreak, dreams and nightmares, all genuinely done in 10 minutes. With the right cast, this could be joyfully devastating.

  • George Sapio: Straight Card

I think what gets me the most is that there really are people like Dylan who Just Don't Get It. I wanna send Dre a basket of flowers and a hug. A short piece but packs big impact. Some pretty funny lines in here, wedged in between the uncomfortableness. Moves quickly, with a raw truth, and is about as honest as you can get.

  • George Sapio: IN TRAINING

Truly...the job from Hell. Quick-paced, hilarious, and a nightmare for someone with a snake phobia. Or a fear of the dark. Or a fear of cluelessly beginning a new job. Still, it has more truth than one might care to admit.

  • George Sapio: WATERFALL

Breaks your heart. Only one page but filled to bursting with love, remembrance, and ache. An exceptional monologue.

  • George Sapio: Rounds Per Second

A particularly ghastly journey. When privilege and shock combine and they must face a place where death has already been. Great short work for two actors.

  • George Sapio: Route 84 House Fire: Three Miles from Train Tracks, Nine From a Hydrant

Disturbing and chilling. Imagine hearing the words that come out of this young woman's mouth and try to imagine what put them there. What do you do when you cannot fathom the place from where another speaks? Is it simple misunderstanding, or is it something more visceral? A provoking and horrific pas de deux for two actors.

  • George Sapio: A Life Enriching Community

I love these two men. You can tell there are years and years and lie to spare behind them, and enough love and humor to last for many more years. Discovery can ruin a relationship, but somehow these two show that love can weather anything. Who needs to fit in on the outside when you perfectly match your partner? Good roles for senior males.
