Tremendously entertaining. A smart, sassy, and timely take on the dusty old mummy genre. It's just a delight. Great parts for young actors to play here, and young audiences will definitely love the witty byplay that goes on. And hey, even oldsters like me had a goofy grin on their face as you get to witness these hapless teens get their comedy horror on. Can't wait to see this staged at some point!

  • Brent Alles: THE NEW HIRE - A Five Minute Play

Very funny short play about an EEEVIL organization. Enjoyed it!

  • Brent Alles: Stowaway

There's so much goodness packed in here that it's hard to know where to start. Incredibly atmospheric and gripping as you try to figure out the mysteries. And nobody is quite who you think they are, are they? I also won't be able to hear a certain pop song the same way for a while now, so thanks for that, Walker. :) In all seriousness, a great piece of short horror. Grabs on to you and won't let go... just like that fearsome "fish"... and its sharp, sharp teeth...

  • Brent Alles: Danny in I.T.

A terrific alternate reality for a well-known King tale, and I kind of dig that in this one Danny sort of becomes Dinky Earnshaw. Sort of. Love the twists on the characterizations. The great thing is that if you're a fan of "The Shining," you'll grin at all the "Easter eggs." But even if you're not, you're still probably going to enjoy this suitably creepy tale all the same. "Great party, isn't it?"

  • Brent Alles: What All the Girlies Are Doing in There

I had a grin on my face pretty much all the way through reading this, and I can only imagine the hilarity if I got to see it staged. Too many good lines in here to quote, so I'm just going to say read this, enjoy it. And for heaven's sake, stage it. After all, we all need a friend like Bloody Mary, right? Right. Tremendous (and still spooky!) fun.

  • Brent Alles: Skinwalker's Alibi

A great "slow burn" creepfest, and I loved that I wasn't quite sure where we might be going until the powerful ending. Dialogue is on point, and one's perspective changes throughout as more is learned about these characters. Really effective narrative brought to bear here. Very engaging and suspenseful one act!

  • Brent Alles: No Small Feet

Wasn't expected to be moved by a scene between a clown and a kid today, but here we are. Wonderful short piece of humanity here where Karp spreads a little hope and some good advice in between some very funny lines and a very funny situation. No easy feat. (Sorry.) Anyway, very enjoyable! this would be a very good addition to your ten minute festival!

  • Brent Alles: DRAGGING YOUR HEELS - A TEN MINUTE PLAY

A lovely ten minute. It's easy to get wistful wondering if the world could ever be this accepting and open, but here we are. This play gave me hope, which is no small thing. Wonderful addition to any ten minute festival that has it.

  • Brent Alles: HOWLING AT THE MOON - a one minute play

Didn't think I was going to get "The Shaggy DA" mixed with Kierkegaard, but here we are. In all seriousness, a very enjoyable one-minute play from Brandon here. Awoo!

  • Brent Alles: The Exorcism

A great tribute to the original frightfest, and yet Syran finds an even more terrifying locale for her "possession" tale. Masterfully crafted in terms of lighting, sound, and overall dread. This should be quite the scare when its staged... can't wait to see that happen.
