Running across plays like this makes me wish I owned a publishing company. This show is original, hilarious and takes several unexpected turns. Bavoso killed it.

Super clever and imaginative play that provides not only some great laughter but also some thought-provoking moments.

Ha! This was so funny! And it was such a clever and inspired idea! Everything was so much fun -- the premise, the characters, the details... The ending was great, and so incredibly positive and refreshing. It would have been easy for Bavoso to earn some laughs off this premise then limp to the finish line, but instead, we get a strong character taking distinct agency right up to the end -- and influencing another character to boot! Highly recommended!

It starts as a clever joke, but that's just the beginning. A metaphysical meditation on the consequences of our social lies and fantasy selves, wrapped in snappy punchlines.

A wonderfully imaginative conceit, perfectly executed. A kind of “Black Mirror meets Avenue Q” mash-up that’s hilarious while making a social comment on the need for constructing our own realities as a means of self-protection. Take this play as a terrific entertainment or more, it’s a joy either way.

Such a clever short piece! John Bavoso had me hooked from the moment I read the title and he delivers a play that is funny, relevant, and packs a good amount of heart. A perfect addition to any ten minute play festival.

This short play is clever in its concept and fun in its execution. I just listened to a radio version on the Short Play Podcast on Apple pod casts and it was a great little story with a nice twist at the end.

This is a gem of a short play. Brilliant concept and totally delightful execution. It's the best beard "limbo" imaginable, and the re-liberation (finally self-liberation) of Tiffany is worth cheering about. Very, very funny work.

There’s a whole new level of “beards” in this cleverly conceived comedy. Long after the laughs, long after you’re done rooting for both Tiffany and Rupert, you will be lost in thought. Bavoso will have you in the palm of his hands. As it turns out, it is the perfect place to be.

A lighthearted comedy of a possibility that feels totally unexplored: What happens to all those Canadian Girlfriends? Very funny, a great addition to any festival.
