The language, the nuance of rodeo lore, and even the dialect pull you in. This short-play makes it's point clear but drives doubt at every turn. Well written, stylized and worth a read.

Mary Sue Price beautifully builds tension in "That Midnight Rodeo;" an audience will immediately feel something unspoken is hanging heavy in the air.

Along with the tension, Price shares Cindy's history and her and Bo's current situation are shared, all of which impacts a decision that Cindy needs to make. Strong writing from Price here.

I absolutely loved the fact that the author used a funny stasis for such a heavy topic. I think that was really the best part of the play because it really allowed the readers to understand the point that the author was trying to make. It was really effective, it’s like the play was a trojan horse. highly rec this one

This play was raw and real and beautiful. There were so many layers and it was done so beautifully. The sentence length really added to the emotional level of this play. Would read over and over again.

Wow. I was absolutely caught off guard, maybe I am just unfamiliar with the medical process, but I was assuming this was a dentist appointment, or something less significant. But the reveal was shocking to me, and makes the rest of the play much more impactful. I had to reread it to try and understand the impact better, absolutely incredible reveal, with such short dialogue in-between, each word holds much more meaning than I initially thought.

There were so many impactful and difficult, yet subtle and beautiful moments throughout this play. Truly amazing work!

The characters here really drew me in, as the play continued I could feel the proverbial rope between them getting thinner and thinner as if it were about to break. Truly great writing!

I love the dialogue so much! There's so much that is unsaid that the two want to say so badly, but they seem to not be able to find the right words or are scared to express everything to one another.

This play beautifully shows the rodeo lifestyle, the working lifestyle, and the family lifestyle and how they all conflict with each other.
