Rachel Bublitz has written an amazing play, bringing in important topics/themes for today's audiences. Her characters were very believable with well-developed relationships with one another. I found it fascinating to read about societal issues in the format of a play versus hearing it always from the news. Our actions, big or small, have an impact on society, and Bublitz helped me find that through determination we can all come together to advocate for ourselves for generations to come. I look forward to reading more of Rachel's work in the future!

Bublitz’s Red Days is such a great read that entertains and draws you in instantly! The story is so relevant to today, and it is fascinating to read and consider how similar the world created in the story is to our covid affected world. The authenticity behind the writing of the characters and relationships is so endearing and allows for so much dynamic in the story. This sci-fi, coming of age story is a captivating and impactful story that I would highly recommend!

Red Days is more relevant and impactful than ever, exploring a world plunged into crisis. Red Days examines how humanity reacts to crises – and the effects on both broad and microscopic levels. Red Days is grounded, with characters you will see yourself in – whether you want to or not. Bublitz plays with formats and mediums that make an impactful statement.

Rachel Bublitz is a name I wish I heard more about so I can read more from her! Her writing and authenticity to family relationships is incredible. Red Days is definitely a must-read for anyone who's interested in science-fiction and a coming-of-age story. The play is so much more relevant in today's age with Covid but it's a pretty timeless story. Would most definitely recommend!

Bublitz’s Red Days is a must-read and an amazing commentary on teenagers’ most pivotal points in their lives within the confines of dark extraneous circumstances—something much of our younger generation of thespians can empathize with due to the Covid pandemic. This work seems almost timeless, giving an unfiltered perspective of life within a world uncannily similar to the new world effected by Covid. (and not only that but that it was written before the pandemic even hit is the mark of a truly remarkable playwright) The thing that shines through every seam of this tragic world: Humanity.

Everybody should be watching for Bublitz' work to start popping up everywhere. Red Days is fascinating, considering that it was written prior to COVID 19. Clever writing can tell the future. I particularly enjoyed the radio segment and frog analogy. Additionally, the mother daughter dynamic is represented very well through Connie and Dianna.

Between the authenticity of Dianna and Connie's relationship, to the serious issue of climate change, Rachel Bublitz nails every aspect of "Red Days". Bublitz instantly brings the reader into the world with the stunningly crafted opening scene and keeps you as engaged through the end. I truly can not think of a better read. Bublitz created Dianna as such a strong and determined character and keeps her true to that the entire time. You get to truly know her as more than a character.

Bublitz's ability to combine realistic human relationships with a science fiction setting as a cohesive narrative is absolutely riveting. "Red Days" effectively tells the story of a mother and daughter dealing the challenges of adolescence, but also the effects of their ecosystem being on the verge of collapse. We are presented with the question of how we would treat the ones we love in situations of anger, with the knowledge that all of their lives are marginally more delicate. This is a must read for lovers of real life quarrel and reconciliation. (Adelaide Young)

If there is one play that everyone should read, it is Red Days. From the moment I started reading I was not only drawn in, but also surprised at how relevant it is to our world today. Bublitz creates this extraordinary story primarily through the relationship between Dianna and her mother Connie, which shows the importance of doing what is right no matter who is in your way. By blending the themes of love, anger, passion, and determination, Bublitz takes the reader into a different world while also calling upon them to take action for what they believe is right.

What a great story! As a Salt Lake City native, I couldn't help but wonder how the cultural expectations regarding gender roles and motherhood might have played into Connie and Dianna's troubled relationship. I appreciated the authenticity of their relationship.
