  • Ross Tedford Kendall: To The Moon!

A great little piece that shows the lengths some people will go to maintain a lie, even to another heavenly body. Especially great is that the characters' actions often go against what they say. Great subtext and efficient storytelling make this piece at home with any festival.

  • Rand Higbee: To The Moon!

A short and quick little play about a man who won a free trip to the Moon. The thing is, he's afraid of the Moon. You know how it always follows us around and such? This is a cautionary "Be careful what you wish for tale" from Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend that also happens to be quite funny.

  • Steven G. Martin: To The Moon!

This 10-minute comedy is based on a terrific comic premise, that of a lie that has gone unchecked for so long it has grown to astronomical proportions.

Lisa Dellagiarino Fereind has created the ultimate impending doom for Joe, whose flipping and flapping -- courtesy of Kellogg's, thank you corporate enablers! -- continually grow more frantic. But I especially loved a moment toward the end of "To the Moon!" when Joe's fears are dissolved away ... before Dellagiarino Fereind ends with a gleeful comic button.

What a trip! Joe was willing to go to great lengths to get his date to like him, but wow. This is a fun piece that will have the audience laughing at every turn.

  • Rachel Aberman: To The Moon!

This is a super fun and funny piece. Everyone's gotten caught in a lie that went a bit too far, but imagine if that lie sent you to the moon. What a wild *ride* this 10 minute is!

  • Emily McClain: To The Moon!

This play is completely hilarious! Feriend's ear for comic dialogue is perfectly attuned to capturing the unraveling of this uniquely awkward situation. This would be so much fun to stage in a 10-minute play festival and provides so many fabulous moments for the actors to shine. Read and enjoy!

  • Adam Richter: To The Moon!

If someone offers you a trip to the moon, you say yes. ... But should you? Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend's sharp and funny play shows why that's not always a good idea. Even a little lie in the start of a relationship can lead to places neither of you expected. I loved this short play in which the main character gets less sympathetic as time goes on. Great job!

  • John Mabey: To The Moon!

TO THE MOON! is such a fun ride, and Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend has written a wonderfully funny and unique short play about space travel and relationships. The stakes are high in this comedy, and offers performers a playground of possibilities for staging, too. Buckle-in for a rough landing, indeed!

  • Eric Duhon: To The Moon!

Imagine if you told a little white lie years ago that would lead to you ending up on the surface of the moon, despite strong trepidation for any kind of adventure. This one had me chuckling from start to finish...the idea of the main character being agreeable on a first date and being haunted by it while in the middle of a flight through space. Well done!

  • Toby Malone: To The Moon!

It can be tempting to inflate your likes and dislikes on a first date, to pretend to be someone you're not to impress the person you're with. So, if you're a super cautious fellow like Joe, making yourself sound more adventurous seems a pretty harmless fib: all you have to do is not let on until the relationship ends (by death) or... you are thrust into a situation where you're forced to walk on the moon. In this snappy short, Lisa does a great job teasing out the absurdity of the situation. Great work!
