These are fabulous! And strange! Aubades for the theatre! And unexpected! And I really enjoyed them. I think it's a great idea too to write monologues every day at the same time, 130 words or thereabouts. Lots to consider. Good work.

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: 100 Things I Never Said To You

What a beautiful idea for a play! I love it! I hope all the high schools get to produce it because they will love it, and it will be helpful and healing and honest and full of heart and soul and moving and everything a play for people should be no matter what our ages. Thank you!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: The Brief Lifespan of a Butterfly (Monologue)

Wonderful monologue - a whole play really, in monologue form. A fabulous unpacking of one woman's real and super-relatable experience in her relationship with a jock/ex-jock. So many of us have been there, this really lands. The metaphor, the language itself, all that goes on onstage during this piece is beautifully scripted as Lamedman raises the stakes and gives us a great sense of forward motion toward the climax which arrives with a great payoff well-earned. Huzzah!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: King Margaret

THIS! I love how theatrical, how subversive and how enjoyably funny this is! Palmquist humanizes Margaret and the entire stately situation so that we can really feel for all the characters in this brilliant adaptation of Shakespeare's history which now belongs to us all in this wonderful new play. May it be produced soon at a theatre near me! (or you!)

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Three Missing Pieces (a monologue)

So relatable! Such a gem of a monologue for anyone - all different possibilities here! Wonderfully versatile and the metaphor of the action with the story works perfectly because we are all puzzling out this human dilemma as we live it. Beautiful work!

Sometimes we are our own worst enemies. There is so much to like about this play and these characters! Smith does a great job taking us on this journey. Well done!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Daddy Issues

A beautiful play with a wonderful monologue for a young woman, and a lovely moment of recognition, both for the audience and for the character. Well done.

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: The Brisket

I love a play with wonderful roles for women who are not ingenues! I love a good brisket too. These sisters are so wonderfully drawn, and the premise works beautifully. Queer plays thrill me as a queer Jewish woman well over 55, so I can't recommend this play enough! And the sibling issues are so well written. A holiday play to mend a rift between sisters is something I'd love to see produced!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: COLLECTIVE RAGE: A PLAY IN 5 BETTIES;IN ESSENCE A QUEER & OCCASIONALLY HAZARDOUS EXPLORATION; DO YOU REMEMBER WHEN YOU WERE IN MIDDLE SCHOOL AND YOU READ ABOUT SHACKLETON & HOW HE EXPLORED THE ARCTIC?;IMAGINE THE ARCTIC AS A PUSSY & IT’S SORT OF LIKE THAT

I saw Collective Rage way back in the before-world, and I miss it! So bizarre, theatrical and fun with characters I just wanted to grab and shake and do other things with/to... exciting work!

As the startlingly theatrical images begin with the beautiful chanting of Hawaiian language and then pidgin, I am alerted to a very special play. The characters are beautifully drawn and their relationship to each other connected as family and culture are relatable and feel like truth in a way that is wonderfully playable, moving and poignant. I hope to see this staged!
