  • Julie Zaffarano: ZOSHA: A MONOLOGUE

ZOSHA is another stunning monologue by Asher Wyndham. We want to wrap Zosha in the biggest hug and wipe away the wrongs done to her. We love that she has maintained her agency and calls out the bank employees who refuse to treat her with basic dignity. Somehow, we know Zosha will survive and are hungry to see her next chapter.

  • Julie Zaffarano: Maeve's Camellia

How I hoped for these two humans to grow together and heal themselves. Kim E, Ruyle reminds us that we can find love even when we feel we don't deserve it or think we don't want it. Even when we run from it, it can still find us. The conflict in this play is real and keeps us turning the pages. Well done.

  • Julie Zaffarano: The Church Bells All Were Broken

THE CHURCH BELLS ALL WERE BROKEN is a beautiful play that needs to be produced now. Ebersole makes you care for characters and see sides to them you were not have thought of. The love and the grief and the loss are real. Stunning.

  • Julie Zaffarano: The Folks at Home

I LOVE this play. The characters are both over the top and very real -- I was invested in them and their lives as if they were my next door neighbors. I think I annoyed the people seated near me in the theater because I laughed SO much. Love it.

  • Julie Zaffarano: The Waiting Room

THE WAITING ROOM by Rosemary Parrillo is a roller coaster of emotions. We root for these very real characters (they are our neighbors, after all) and truly care what happens to them.

  • Julie Zaffarano: Divided Requiem (One Act)

Paul Donnelly shows us the very human side of a couple trying to comprehend the unspeakable loss of a child and how their lives are changed forever. Both sensitive and raw, this play will haunt me for a long time.

  • Julie Zaffarano: FALLING IN TIME

So much packed into the clever and heartfelt play. As a cat lover, I connected right away and help my breath until the end. Well done.

  • Julie Zaffarano: omniHappy

We selected “omniHappy” for the the Media Arts Council reading series because it is an extremely clever and relevant play. It was an audience favorite in our series. Alex Dremann’s dialog is fast and witty and propels the story to the surprising but inevitable endng. Well done.

  • Julie Zaffarano: Botanicals or Giving It to God

“Botanicals or Giving it to God” by Keenya Jackson is a beautifully human play about loss and hope. It will tear at your heart one moment and bring a smile to your lips the next. Produce this play!

  • Julie Zaffarano: Sliding into Seniorhood

I thoroughly enjoyed Kim E, Ruyle's "Sliding into Seniorhood" -- a fun and poignant play that mature actors and all adult audiences will enjoy. Characters are well drawn. The play hits the mark about the concerns about aging. So refreshing to read a play with seniors having hopes and dreams rather than aches and pains.
