Beautiful depiction of the life of one woman. Great use of non-linear storytelling and moments of fantasy to put us in the headspace of Lucy as she looks back on her life and all she had to give up for men and the "American Dream."

A short play about toxic masculinity and colonialism that is absurd and satirical but really packs a punch.

I read this play just a couple days after listening to an episode of The Daily about the current efforts by Amazon warehouse employees to unionize. This couldn't be a more relevant play as we still deal with preachers and politicians that weaponize the Christian faith to keep people of different races from working together to overcome their oppression. A fascinating blend of historical text and dramatization.

Such an intimate play about a huge issue. Boyd brilliantly explores ethical questions around end of life care.

Didn't think possible for anyone to write an absurdism comedy about Nazis better than Mel Brooks but Omer Abbas Salem has done it? The playwright masterfully gets us to care about these awful women even without giving a reason to why they do what they do. The why is not important. It's all about how they use the authority they believe they wield.

This is a play that needs to be produced everywhere. The Arab American Muslim experience is not a monolith and the American theatre needs to be ready to produce work that proves this. Heartwarming, terrifying and hilarious.

I loved the lack of backstory and specificity here. The playwright gives us just enough to know something incredible is happening and then lets these complicated characters take over.

I appreciate how this play goes so much deeper than I expected. It's a fly on the wall look at the life of these gay men that says so much about friendship and navigating relationships of all kinds.

Like all of Sharma's plays this one gives no easy answers and left me with questions that are so necessary. I went into this thinking it would mainly be an indictment on Greek Life. Greek Life doesn't come out looking great but I was pleasantly surprised by how nuanced this piece is when it explores issues like identity and complicity in systems. Very excited to see this produced.

A story of violation and healing told through a Wonderland inspired fever dream. There are no easy answers in this play. Sharma shies away from depicting the assault itself and instead focuses on how Alice copes and how the people she loves support her. There are no right or wrong answers. Just the answers that help Alice get to the next day. This play will leave you breathless by the ending where we are left with so many questions that we need to be having.
