  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: In Dreams

Visually interesting piece; poetic in a presentational way. Dreams are fascinating things (I personally love hearing about them) and in this play that leads to an equally fascinating resolution. Somber in the best way.

  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: 80 Cards

Yes! A play that bends theatre, is hilarious, and sprinkles some existentialism throughout? This is the type of theatre I live for. A great idea, here's hoping Martin gets his time to shine again soon.

  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: Another Play by Matthew Weaver

I love the absurdist and metatheatrical vibes this show has got going on, very clever. I'm not Matthew Weaver (I think), but as a playwright, I thought these characters were talking about me too. What a fantastic and hilarious piece!

  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: Absence Makes the Heart... (A Play in Monologues Inspired by The Red Shoes)

This is such an incredibly skillful piece. Each character is unique and has their own distinct voice. Moments of this show are humorous and others are heart-breaking. A very creative way to show the ripple effect of a person's life.

  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: Unfrozen (A Monologue)

My emotions were all over the place while reading this, in the best way possible. It's hilarious and heart breaking. I'm convinced Lawing could make me feel attached to any character, puppet, dummy, anything. Would be great to see this stage!

  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: NOLAN (SOME BOY WITH A NECK BRACE): A MONOLOGUE

A very hilarious "Today is the day" monologue from Wyndham. Nolan has come to the pivotal moment in every young boy's life where they have to make the decision to do what's best for themselves, to be their own person, and to not just follow the path their parents have laid out for them. As someone who played football when he was younger when I really didn't want to but felt like I had to, this is so relatable. Wyndham really hit the nail on the head in a very fun way with this one.

  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: TATTOO: A Tale of Terror

Masterfully eerie. The ending really got me, it made so much sense and yet it was also so surprising. The language usage in this is also so carefully chosen, it works very well. It would be an absolute delight to hear this piece performed. I want more!

  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: MANNY AQUINO: A MONOLOGUE

Good stuff. I really enjoy the way this monologue is framed. This is what happens when our reality seeps into make-believe time and it's an incredibly poignant thing. A lot of great moments in here ranging from highly comedic to dramatic.

  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: TRANSMISSION

I was so immersed in this while reading it, I can only begin to imagine what feelings this show elicits when you're actually in the room. For me, this evoked a beautiful feeling and really made me think about our culture and where we are today. This was incredibly intimate and a wonderful experience, even as a read. I really enjoy theatre like this and highly recommend it.

  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: Foliage

Mark the magician is just like any of us; we all perform for our dogs, we all lonesomely create elaborate scenarios in which we get pummeled by an audience, and we all are terribly frightened by ten-year olds. No, just me? Well, regardless, as zany a play as it is, there is a lot to relate to! Highly recommend checking this show out, especially if you're interested in finding out who Herbert Hoover had a scandalous affair with...
