  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Exhale

MARTIN once again wows with this 1 minute theatrical feast for the eyes and soul. The simplest act of human connection onstage is presented with exhilarating and poignant precision. A piece that will linger and leave you with plenty to contemplate.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Quarantined with Human

Snoozeball perfectly embodies the maligned cat, COVID homebound with its human. Funny and succinct, this play is a silly, 1 minute treat.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: A Tale of Two Ornaments - Part of the "Have Yourself a Twisty Little Christmas" Anthology

Absolutely charming and SO MUCH FUN! I could see young actors AND old actors alike having a blast playing these roles, and audiences are sure to smile, laugh, and applaud Claudia Haas's creativity with this holiday piece.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: ALLIANCE

A beautifully done play with subtle, sophisticated roles for young actors. What a joy to watch the characters of CAL and JANE transform from the quiet and the bullied into empowered allies (NOT friends, okay?) in a believable and well-crafted 10 minutes. Absolutely recommend for student actors in middle school to high school!

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: FLOATING BUBBLES

Short and sweet, Dick and Jane are delightful. Their park bench meet-cute is reminiscent of 1940s romantic comedies, and stylistically allows the actors to have great fun in their interpretations. Many a director would enjoy staging this piece!

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: A BUMP IN THE NIGHT ( a 10 minute mystery)

A delightful play perfect for Halloween-themed or spooky short play festivals. I loved that I didn't know what to expect next. A lot of great material for actors and directors to play with in terms of choices.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Shall I Compare Thee (a monologue)

"Why is it I'm always compared to something that can be grabbed and chewed up?"

An honest, heartwrenching look at the ways young women, specifically young Black women and girls, are "courted" and cat-called. This piece is presented in an authentic and real voice, making it all the more enlightening. Great piece for a young POC actress.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Cornered

I had the pleasure of seeing this piece in a filmed performance for Fat Turtle Theatre Company's 10 Minute Play Festival in August 2020. The dialogue is snappy and sassy, and the situation is such a great one to throw actors (and the audience) into. I love how the text works on so many levels and lends itself to multiple dramatic interpretations, from the literal to the less concrete.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Climate Change

A hilarious look at the relativity of temperature achieved in a quick and clever minute.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Naturalized (Ten Minute Play)

A charming and clever 10 minute play that is fun for the whole family! I especially love the ways in which this play can function metaphorically in regards to identity. Great role for a young actor in Alex.
