  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: THE OTHER SIDE

A short, moving piece for two actors. I especially like that in many ways, this works as a neutral or open-ended scene, allowing actors and a director to determine the specific circumstances. Depending on the choices, the piece provides interesting and alternative nuances. A great addition to short play festivals!

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Coping with Autumn

I was lucky enough to see a virtual reading of this script and was immediately struck by the depth of the piece and the incorporation of humor in such a dark topic. The journey we take with Autumn and her psyche is both tumultuous and revealing. Highly theatrical, this script would be a joy to stage, and I hope to see it produced in the future!

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Triflers Need Not Apply

As a Hoosier true crime enthusiast, I knew I had to read this play. I ate it up! Part docudrama, part melodrama, this play is a clever, theatrical celebration and condemnation of our salacious love of gossip and scandal. I hope to someday see this produced!

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Winnie The Pooh & Tales Of 100 Acre Wood.

A well-done adaptation, placing the classic Pooh stories against the backdrop of the London Blitz. Innocence shines amidst war, bloodshed, and loss.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: DANIEL PRILLAMAN REALLY LIKES KITTENS

While this play is bound to be better understood by those "in" on the joke, the comedic and farcical elements are enjoyable to all. I hope Mrs. Trelawney Justice, the Edwardian woman, appears in future short plays and encounters.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: The Spectrum of Letting Go

I had the pleasure of playing Margot in a staged reading of this production in 2019. LARIMER's medical knowledge made this multi-layered story of addiction and familial denial especially poignant. I was blown away by the interspersed moments of humor and truly heartwarming scenes with family that balanced the darker scenes and made them all the more devastating.

The characters of ROBERT and ROSELYN in particular offer up complicated and rewarding roles for actors.

I hope this play sees many future productions.

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Icebox Placenta (a monologue for women)

Absolutely fabulous! Hilarious and deep, this monologue will resonate with mothers of all ages. A stand out piece for an actress looking to showcase their range.

    Produce this again and again!

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Ashleigh Says Out Loud the Thing She Meant to Say in Her Head

Hilarious! The title grabbed me immediately and the play did not disappoint. Read, enjoy, and produce this play!

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Apricots (a one-minute play)

A quick taste of WEAVER's talent with 1 minute plays. The surprise is the treat!

  • Elisabeth Giffin Speckman: Planning Ahead

This 1 minute play sets up a fun and fantastic twist delivered in the form of the perfect punchline. Would be a great addition to 1 minute play fests!
