  • Glenn Alterman: Telling Dad (Ten Minute)

Paul Donnelly’s short play Telling Dad is a loving, touching play about the difficult of being a transgender teen. Just that Donnelly was able to cover so much truth about such a complex subject in such a short piece is incredible. I was very moved by how the 3 members of this loving family deal with Billie’s life choice. Beautifully done.

  • Glenn Alterman: Cheers to New Beginnings

Two women meet in a coffee shop on a blind date. This is familiar territory for Kate. For Vanessa it’s a whole new thing. As we get to know these women we learn about them, care about them. An eye opening, well written, lovely play. CHEERS TO NEW BEGINNINGS. The title says it all. Recommended!

I recently heard a reading of this play and instantly fell in love with it. When I read it I had the opportunity to savor it. It's really a lovely short play with two very likable characters in a fascinating situation. You care about these people and are constantly surprised about how they connect. A total delight!

  • Glenn Alterman: Bedtime Story

The lovely ritual of a father wanting to read his son a bedtime story is turned around in this wonderfully engaging play. I was lulled into the tenderness of a father and son's nightly bonding. But then a new element enters the calm and emotional terror takes over. A fascinating journey!

  • Glenn Alterman: How Straight, White, Privileged, Male Academics Talk In Private (10 minute)

The title, HOW STRAIGHT, WHITE, PRIVILEGED, MALE ACADEMICS TALK IN PRIVATE says it all. Hysterically funny, clever, and brilliantly satirical. Almost every line is a clever zinger. You'll love this one!

  • Glenn Alterman: Ancient Wisdom of the Shoebill Stork

Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn’s play, The Shoebill Stork, is intriguing, funny and fascinating. I had no idea where it was going, but totally enjoyed the ride. This play takes you to places you’ve probably never been before. And aside from being truly original- it’s quite enjoyable! Read it, you’ll see what I mean!

  • Glenn Alterman: Tink in the Clink

From the first lines we know we're in a very different kind of Never Never Land. Tinker Bell is in jail and we quickly learn she's not the same Tinker Bell we thought we knew. And Peter isn't the same guy we thought he was. I loved Dana Hall's dark humour illuminating perhaps the "real" Peter and Wendy. The little gem is funny, clever and... eye opening.

  • Glenn Alterman: Apples & Awards

Rachel Feeny-Williams Apples & Awards is one fun ride. Mrs Graidy, who has won the Apple Pie Competition for 15 years has----lost this year. OH NO! And she is not taking this well. Matter of fact she has a knife in her hand to show it. This delight of a play has tons of fun turns and surprises. It's a delicious treat!

  • Glenn Alterman: What Baggage

What Baggage by Kim E.Ruyle is a total delight! Two seniors have just made love and suddenly their conversation turns to moving into together and all the possibilities and problems they may encounter. The play is charming, touching, surprising, and very funny. The characters and dialogue feel totally believable. This is one of those plays you never want to end. It's a winner- read it-- and see!
