  • JANEY SMITH: A FOOTBALL FAN MONOLOGUE
    2 May. 2018
Very powerful piece! The dialogue seems genuine, terrific! And there's something about a sex worker's toughness juxtaposed with her love and concern for her child that gets to you. Asher truly accomplishes a great deal in such a short piece. Looking forward to seeing it performed soon!
  • REQUIEM for GENOCIDE (short version)
    2 May. 2018
I was very moved by this play! It really takes you in. What starts out as a woman just looking for her shoes becomes a journey into such suffering and pain. The revelations are well constructed and leave you at plays end- numb. All of this in just a 10-minute play- remarkable!
  • DON PONZO!!! A MONOLOGUE
    23 Jul. 2015
In such a short monologue we discover so much about this man and why he hurts so much. But along the way there is humor and playful word play. A touching and powerful piece.
  • YOUNG VETERAN ADAM AMERSON: A MONOLOGUE
    23 Jul. 2015
What I found most impressive about this piece is the author ability to create the entire world of Adam in a concise and moving way; and that's no small feat. By it's end, you know this guy- and you care about him. I feel like I just listened to a guy in a bar pour his heart out and I care about him.
