  • Lee R. Lawing: One Word

This was my play of the day and I always delight in seeing plays by playwrights I like to read and have met! I love the use of the one word because as we know it does not take much to show another one that you love them and Otto and Mawar give us a romantic back and forth that eventually finds the right footing on that pathway to love.

  • Lee R. Lawing: Divine Truth

I had a great friend who was Christian Scientist and I learned a lot about it from him. But despite the differences in what I was raised with, a religious household is always about the same rights and wrongs and the dos and don'ts and who's going to Heaven or not and grief can overwhelm you even if you do believe in the afterlife and your loved one is safely there. I love the Robbie character the most as it is someone who is a little rebellious and thinks for himself and questions all the things he is presented with.

  • Lee R. Lawing: Sisyphus's Interview (A One-Minute Play)

Some people just can't catch a break, even in the afterlife. Funny and says a lot about those who love to create but sometimes the work just follows them everywhere they go.

  • Lee R. Lawing: Of Night and Dark Obscurity

You are pulled into a magical world instantly, except this magical world is not from a fairy tale with happy endings, but one where there is a prevalent sadness that hangs over the stage and over the audience as we learn about Jessa and Quinton and what has to be one of the most sinister characters I've read about, Father Gregor.

  • Lee R. Lawing: The Dinosaurs Have a Request

The dinosaurs are not happy and you know what happens to an unhappy dinosaur. At least humans think they do. Charming and funny and an ending that delights.

  • Lee R. Lawing: Rotten

What a beautiful, beautiful play about friendship and about coming to terms with who you are as a person in all ways. The play's title is just so perfect and the reveal of that in the play was as if the earth drops away from your feet. So many things we have as people to maneuver around in this world, it would be wonderful if people just started supporting others in all ways and not get hung up on color, or sexuality and all the other things people do get caught up in.

  • Lee R. Lawing: ALL HALLOWS EVE

There's always the story told and then there's the truth. All Hallow's Eve plays on this with it's tragic set-up,
and ghost story and it will make you wonder the next time you get those goosebumps just exactly what ghosts from your past are haunting you!

  • Lee R. Lawing: MOUSE and FROG

A monologue for everyone because all of us at some point beat ourselves up about the silliest of things and those acts that we feel we will be punished by unseen gods that are watching our every move and will come down and deal us a harsh punishment. Sometimes, these thought processes can destroy a person before they have even had a chance to understand themself all that well and learn the art of self forgiveness that all of us should learn.

  • Lee R. Lawing: Letter of the Law

Never underestimate a child at Christmas who didn't get what they really wanted. Sometimes it's just the edge they need to conquer the world!
