I really liked this play. It's funny, has an original premise, and heart. The characters draw you in from the start, and yet I was always wanting to see where they ended up. A great comedy!

A play that asks a very uneasy question, "will you like your future self?" The playwright crafts an intriguing story that shows how a person's quest to better themselves can often have unexpected results. Gives you a lot to think about, and how your plans for the future can be upended. The characters are great, and the premise is a winner.

It's not everyday that you find a play that earns the right to call itself "horror," but this is one of them. Playwright Kashner sets the mood with a spooky setting, an isolated inn in the moorlands that may or may not have a monstrous beast roaming around. The characters find themselves arriving at the inn, each with their own agenda, which may or may not be what they say. The twists and turns entertain enough, but the scares and chills elevate this piece into a true horror story. Great work!

This play builds and builds until it hits its crescendo. I really like how the roles reverse between the parents, and the clever way it navigates the inner struggle both have to trying to solve the problem their daughter faces. And it's really funny! Great little piece!

A great little piece that really takes its time with the meaningful moments. I particularly like how the playwright lets all of the action and subtext tell the real story, and how it comes together in the end. Very nice play!

A great little spooky comedy with a heartwarming theme. I was particularly taken with how the play builds up the characters, and then springs on the laughs/frights. Good play for set designers and effects people as well. Great for a Halloween themed night or any one-act festival, really.

Really felt this one, emotionally and viscerally. I learned a lot about Chile's Pinochet and how that affected the people. Well put together and riveting to witness.

I definitely see the origin of this, but I particularly like how the playwright really captures this moment as a funny and yet emotional experience. All in about five minutes!
  • The True History of the Famous Duel Between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr

While the musical might bring Hamilton's entire life to the stage, Tambasco here focuses on one singular moment, the duel itself, to great effect. This piece in particular builds upon the bystanders and friends of the duelists, bringing an emotional beat to the piece, before delving into the heady conflict, allowing the audience to invest itself. This approach really pays off, and the verse structure gives it a musicality of its own. A great piece for a themed festival, or a change of pace in a more open format.

This play really hooked me. I particularly liked that the suspense was seeing the situation unfold, and hoping that the characters would realize it. This work really shows how smart people are often fooled by their own ambition. Especially found it heartbreaking and harrowing when they are made to recruit others into the fold. Really great work.
