  • Arianna Rose: Joy Ride

Christine Foster, you had me at "Findhorn". A wonderfully comedic, heartwarming play with some surprise twists. A delight for actors to portray. Spreading the ashes is merely the cover for something deeper going on between mother and daughter. Take this Joy Ride and find out - Parkay!

  • Arianna Rose: Hold My Wings

Another brilliant piece of writing from Christine Foster. I laughed for five minutes over the Mamma Mia line. Superb twist at the end that I didn't see coming. A wonderful play for actors. As a student of metaphysics and reincarnation, I particularly enjoyed the subject matter and the clever way it was used. Bravo!

  • Arianna Rose: Partita - A Monologue

A gorgeous monologue about music, musicians, loss, guilt, and the healing power of music. As a musician I heartily approve of this monologue - as a playwright I marvel at the sheer craft of it. Robert Weibezahl created an entire world of the orchestra in this one short monologue. I'd love to see it performed. Bravo!

  • Arianna Rose: Crazy Quilts

WOW. I didn't see that coming. What a well-crafted ensemble piece. You think it's about one thing and it turns about to be about something big - the best kind of writing. Kudos to Karen Fix Curry for writing this marvellous short play. It gets performed everywhere and I can see why. Karen, I'll be looking askance at those quilts you show off on Facebook from now on! :-)

  • Arianna Rose: Matinee

A very funny play about the generation gap and the things we bury in a bucket of popcorn rather than talk about. I can’t wait to see this one performed.

  • Arianna Rose: COASTER

I wish I had come up with this idea - the highest praise I can give! What a fabulous 'ride'. Playwright Mullen expertisely combines comedy with pathos, terror with tenderness, to get at the truth of a relationship. I can see why it gets so many productions! A tour de force for actors and directors and so perfectly and simply staged. Coaster will get you going...and going...and going...

  • Arianna Rose: DRESS BLUES - A Ten-Minute Comedy-Drama

I love plays that seem to be about one thing, but are really about something else. DRESS BLUES - clever word play in the title, by the way - does just that, brilliantly. A ten-minute comedy with a deeper message about self-acceptance and self-worth. Donald Loftus has once again gifted us with a comedy that's about something, with some killer lines and great characterizations. Read it and produce it!

  • Arianna Rose: THE INVENTION OF PICKLE BALL

Hysterically funny and oh so truthful. Fantastic roles for older actors, and did I say funny? Funny as hell. Can I please be Rachael Carnes when I grow up? Read it, produce it!

  • Arianna Rose: Never Closer Than Three Feet

I'm a sucker for old Hollywood stories, and NEVER CLOSER THAN THREE FEET does not disappoint. Playwright Lee R. Lawing creates a clever, original and believable premise during a photo shoot for Norma Shearer, who married studio head Irving Thalberg. A wonderful play that examines WORLDS in just ten minutes. Power dynamics, Hollywood rivalries, and the price women paid to rise to the top are presented in a fresh and highly theatrical way. Read it and produce it!

  • Arianna Rose: Textbook Messages

A very funny and all-too-real premise about the demands life places upon us and how we deal with them. As a college professor, I thoroughly enjoyed the interchange about "not" using college resources. Dramatist Ross Tedford Kendall skillfully ramps up the predicaments facing Vanessa as she juggles unreasonable texts. Great climax and last line. Would love to see this performed - a perfect play for the Zoom age.
