I so appreciate playwrights who honor those who came before. Theatre is an ephemeral art, so anything we can do to uphold and celebrate those who love her, cherish her, and create for her, is an A in my book. And Theoni V. Aldredge, Costume Designer, Speaks is an A+ in that book. I loved learning about her life, her father, her passions, and her outlook in a male-dominated field. A must-read and must-produce. Thank you, Ms. Aldredge, and thank you, Jennifer O'Grady, for this wonderful monologue!

One of the things I admire most about Marj O'Neill-Butler's writing is her focus on women characters and women's issues. SWAMP GIRL is no exception. Recently produced by Fantasy Theatre Factory's online Short & Sweet Festival, this play deserves everyone's time and attention.

I had the pleasure of viewing LAST TWO FOR THE INTERVIEW in an online production. Ms. O'Neill-Butler is the master of the short-form play and this one is no exception. The playwright skillfully builds the premise to the immensely satisfying twist at the finale. A great showcase for two young women and another hit for Ms. O'Neill-Butler!

It's all fun and games till....well, forever, in this clever satire of dating shows. In THE DOWN LOW DATING SHOW, playwright Steven G. Martin deftly skewers the genre, cheating men, and lying men, with wit and sparkle. Would love to see this performed. Read it, produce it!

PUZZLE PIECE is a beautiful and unusual play about the interlocking pieces of our lives. Through shifting unison lines, Playwright Ken Preuss deftly takes us through the many stages of relationships. I loved the imagery in this play. A wonderful challenge for actors and directors. Read it, produce it!

I had the pleasure of seeing this play performed at a theatre festival. I am a huge fan of wit and word play, and Ken Preuss uses both deftly in this comic valentine to the Beatles. Preuss may not be a “Paperback Writer” but he sure is a playwright! Read and enjoy!
