  • An absolutely gorgeous short play about grief, healing, and the power of community. Playwright Robert Weibezahl has crafted two compelling characters in Bryon and Paola, so much so that I wanted to stay in their story and find out what happens next. Set against the backdrop of beautiful Italy, this lovely play is a reminder that the most important journey is the inner one and how we all impact each others lives. Read and produce!

  • You had me at "Satan's Suburbs". What a delicious delight of a play! You'll want to spend a fun afternoon dishing with Sheila, Barbara, and Cathy, three baby boomers with a delectable secret. A wonderful ensemble piece for mature women, with lots of action and misdirects. Now I want cake! - but maybe not that one! Kudos to playwright Robert Weibezahl for another well-crafted and theatrical outing!

  • My goodness, where is this retirement community of bridge-playing gals? I want to join in on their fun! Playwright Paul Donnelly has written a wonderful short play for two older women. We learn a remarkable amount about Moira and Sheila in a short time in this illuminating look at life in the mature years and the chance to start again. Read and produce - and get those singles ready for a good time at the strip bar!

  • Dan Taube's clever and well-crafted play "What Did You Think of Me" took me right back to one of my roommates my freshman year in college and the challenges she presented. I wonder if I would have viewed her differently after reading this play. And that's the power of theatre - to enhance empathy in its readers and viewers. Playwright Taube has crafted a resonant two-handers with many reveals and reversals. He beautifully captures two opposing personalities and searching for commonality.

  • A very timely and pointed play about the games our politicians play with truth and hypocrisy. Playwright Bruce Karp champions the rights of the LGBTQ+ community in much of his work and this is no exception. A terrific reveal at the end and great craft throughout, Big Beautiful Bill will have you making sure your voter registration is up-to-date and to hold your congresspeople accountable. • Arianna Rose: 37 Origami Bees

An astounding and brilliant short play about desperation, going the extra mile for those we love. The best kind of play that seems to be about one thing - a very funny play about a young woman in a manic crisis focused on a scientific experiment - and then turns into something else entirely. Playwright Aly Kantor's writing is unique, fresh, funny, and so deeply relatable. I wish we could give the entire world a "TIME OUT" like Mina commands.

  • Arianna Rose: Maybe Next Year

A lovely, bittersweet, relatable short play about family and the ties that bind us, release us, and sometimes gag us. I loved learning about the Kowalski Gift Exchange and about each of these compelling characters. It's remarkable how playwright Brent Alles has been able to give us a snapshot of a complicated yet loving family in just ten minutes time. I loved the entreaty to keep the old and add something new. A perfect play for the holidays but an enjoyable read any day of the year!

  • Arianna Rose: Persephone Wasn't Hungry That Day

Pulsing Pomegranate, I loved this play! So painfully relatable, I now want cheese...cheese...cheese... and chocolate cake with frosted flowers, and I'm a vegan! So well-written and superbly crafted. You don't need to know anything about Hades/Persephone to fully enjoy this play, but it adds an extra layer of delight if you do. Playwright Aly Kantor deserves all the bread bowls for this one.

  • Arianna Rose: KEEPING SCORE (A 10-minute play)

A fun short play that celebrates women supporting women, with some fantastic one-liners along the way. Grace is all of us! Playwright Marj O'Neill-Butler has crafted another hit with wonderful roles for mature actors.

  • Arianna Rose: ILLUSION - A SHOWBIZ BIO MUSICAL (revised 2026)

In the grand tradition of Gypsy and Kiss Me Kate comes a rip-roaring backstage Show biz musical! I am so glad librettist/lyricist Donald Loftus wrote about Julian Elton’s. Although I was familiar with the name, I didn’t know any of the backstory. With a clever framework with gossip columnist Louella Parsons we see the trajectory of Julian’s career and personal life unfold, including some very moving scenes with the love of his life. I hope Julian’s soul is tingling from this lovely tribute.
