Feminine Care broke my heart wide open. What a beautiful play about masculinity and the father -daughter relationship. So smartly written. Can’t wait to see a performance of this!
  • CONFLUENCE
    1 May. 2020
“This is a new way for minutes to move” may be the best phrase I’ve ever read to describe shelter-in-place. A gorgeous monologue from a brilliant writer. Can’t wait to see this one performed.
  • AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION, A Play for Videoconference
    1 May. 2020
Rachael Carnes is my spirit animal. Her imagination amazes and delights, and her dramatic flair sets her clear above the pack. This short play is no exception and probably the only one I would ever read about our current circumstances. Bravo for another hit!
  • V-DAY (from the TAPAS COLLECTION)

“Fried bologna is better once you got a buzz on” but no buzz necessary to enjoy this short play. The playwright deftly writes characters who illuminate what true love really is. Would love to see this performed!
  • THEATRE IS ...

The playwright had me at “word rhythms of hope”. A loving homage to the tenacity of the theatre .
  • MYRTLE BEACH SUNRISE (from the STILL FEISTY COLLECTION)

A lovely glimpse into friendship, letting go, and moving on. Relatable and endearing characters make this one a crowd pleaser from first line to last. Another hit for this playwright!
  • The Jackson, a 10-minute political play
    22 Apr. 2020
Although it pains me to put Trump and yoga in the same sentence, Susan Middaugh does a brilliant job combining physical comedy with satire. Funny, biting, and a searing condemnation of the resident in the White House. Read it, produce it, and be sure to wipe down your yoga mat afterwards!
  • The Grout Fairy
    20 Apr. 2020
I had the good fortune to see THE GROUT FAIRY in a play festival in 2019. Connie Schindewolf's imagination is quite extraordinary and delightful. Relatable yet fanciful characters and a humorous premise make The Grout Fairy theatre magic!
  • TWISTED DICKENS (from the TAPAS COLLECTION)
    16 Apr. 2020
Pip Pip Hooray for this clever, alliterative satire on Great Expectations. In the grand tradition of Monty Python and a myriad of British comedies, Twisted Dickens will have you smiling from head to mature woman's foot. I'd love to see this performed. Sublimely silly and well-written, Vivian Lermond has 'exceed ed expectations'!
  • A Paper Forest

A most unusual play with the most beautiful message about hope, regeneration, and love. I was so moved by reading this. I love short plays that are ABOUT something, and this play has all that and more. So much beautifully layered subtext, drama, and poetic imagery. Read it, love it, produce it. And spend some time in nature.
