Wow. Just wow. What a masterful piece of writing. Once I started I literally could not stop for anything. And it flew by. Deeply emotional, both realistic and fantastic, ultimately a story about the connections we all desperately crave. I would love to see this on stage, It would also make a terrific movie/tv series.

A perfectly crafted metaphor that never hits you over the head with its meaning. This play gives you exactly the right amount of information at exactly the right pace. The characters are at once familiar and mysterious. A very enjoyable read.

  • Christopher Soucy: Great Hollow

This play is 1000% up my alley. I love how perfectly paced it is. The revelations crest and break just as you become aware of them. Sad, endearing, and a little spooky, Jillian Blevins delivers a hauntingly good tale.

  • Christopher Soucy: I LOVE A PARADE, a 10-minute dystopian political drama

Chilling, absolutely chilling. Horror is at its best when it reflects something that is boiling beneath the surface. The harder it is to accept, the more horrific it is when presented. This is a horror play, frightening, heartbreaking, and close enough to smell it. The stomach churning sensation is the mark of a well written play. It’s a fantastic piece.

  • Christopher Soucy: A BUMP IN THE NIGHT ( a 10 minute mystery)

I am a sucker for a ghost story, and this short play doesn’t disappoint. It is unexpected and suspenseful with a clever payoff that had me nodding in approval.

  • Christopher Soucy: Demon Bitch Goddess

What an enjoyable read of sheer theatricality. A vividly realized cast of characters in three poignant, funny, and interesting one acts. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the title, but I trust Scott Sickles implicitly when it comes to storytelling. This is a great show that highlights a range of ages, dynamics, and emotions. I highly recommend it.

  • Christopher Soucy: Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep

A punch in the gut. As the truth reveals itself in this short, tight drama, one gets the sensation of deep sorrow. Life, in all its chaotic horror, leaves little room for hope, but Cheryl Davis shines a small light in the darkness. The good in us just might carry forward after we are gone.

  • Christopher Soucy: Tipping

Fantastic! This short play has you guessing throughout. So many familiar avenues, but no sure way of knowing the destination. A masterful job of navigating characters through their own pitfalls and insecurities. A perfect play for two actors to really dive into.

  • Christopher Soucy: Bridge to Reality, Come in Reality

There is a very “oof” sensation that plays out on this short comic piece. A familiar pang of unrequited love. The strange moment when you have taken one step closer to the adult you are destined to be. Bethany Dickens Assaf addresses a coming of age dilemma in a bold new way, going where no one has ever gone before… well… local cable access tv of the early to mid 90s. BRIDGE TO REALITY, COME IN REALITY is a funny play with a solid representation of an awkward time in life before the internet allowed 24/7 video access to everyone.

  • Christopher Soucy: The Oktavist

Fantastic, simply fantastic! That there are times when we can keep secrets from ourselves is a marvel. I love that this play explores how someone might follow the interpretation of deep desires to a misguided attempt to fulfill them. How frustrating life is without a roadmap. Lovely and weighty, The Oktavist is a stellar short play.
