A truly epic play with some very sharp dialogue! As a fellow Savannah writer I find it fabulous that I have a Detective Ellis as well, I named mine after two squares. This play is a terse thriller with a satisfying climax. Looking forward to reading more of Corona’s works!
  • Pointing Toes

We don’t often get to see the other side of happily ever after. This is a loving portrait of a scene we should all indulge in, listen to the stories of our elders. A hauntingly evocative play that is laced with dreams and memories.
  • Happy Days: Zoom (A parody of the absurd)
    22 May. 2022
Absurdity has become second nature to us all, and nothing illustrates that better than Syran’s take on Beckett’s Happy Days. Excellent work!
  • Prism of the People

The spectrum of human ideology is as vibrant and all encompassing as all the colors, seen and unseen, that permeate the universe, known and unknown. Emily Julian takes us on a journey of discovery with one of history’s greatest minds. A lovely pondering about our obsession with labels.
  • 2 Philosophers 1 Stone

Highly enjoyable philosophical debate about the allure of immortality. A witty, well constructed dialogue full of poetics. Certainly rewarding characters for any actor to perform.
  • GOD AWFUL: A PLAY ABOUT JOB
    14 May. 2022
Poor Job. The only thing worse than God ignoring you is God paying attention to you. This is a fun retelling of the Book of Job with a slightly more satisfying end! Love Adam Richter’s take on GOD and Satan’s wager.
  • Playing on the Periphery: Monologues and Scenes For and About Queer Kids
    14 May. 2022
What if Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes represented the LGBTQ+ community? This utterly delightful collection of scenes and monologues evokes that sensation in my head. Young children, wise beyond their years, espousing truths that most adults have a hard time articulating. I am deeply impressed and equally enamored with this work. Do yourself a favor and give it a read, and when it does get performed anywhere near you- go see it!
  • Because I Could Not Stop for Death
    12 May. 2022
A delightful tale of a possible clerical error in the eternal accounting office. Great dialogue, fun characters, and a cautionary tale about using a hair dryer in the shower.
  • Monstrous: The Notorious Births of Mary Toft
    11 May. 2022
This is a timely piece. A remarkable and thought provoking play brimming with bold theatricality. I am amazed at VanWormer’s elevation of an intriguing footnote in the history of medical fraud to an elegant allegory of the ravages of societal oppression upon women. I could not help but stage the show in my mind with elaborate puppets.
  • The Underworld of Penny Dreadful: Episode Two - The Case of the Cider and the Rose (On the Air Series)
    10 May. 2022
A truly entertaining piece that'll leave you on the edge of your seat for the next episode! A perfectly paced radio thriller that would be so much fun to produce.
