  • Sitting Causes Cancer and Other Modern Tragedies

This play is sharp. I love Anna's writing, it's so quick and so funny. I'm totally invested in this weird comedy about weed chocolate and ass cancer but also so so so much more. Would also love to design the sound for this if only for the metal remix of the wedding march because what is even happening I love it. This play is a really unique investigation into the unreal pressures of modern day capitalism.
  • The Bookstore

"So you know how important this store is. It’s more than a store. It’s a haven for words, for knowledge, for beauty. It’s a cathedral and a museum and a garden." I work in a used bookstore that is all of these things and Adam's play just hit me in all the right feels. This play is fun and lighthearted but it also means a lot to me. Adam strikes such a wonderful balance between play and depth and this play wraps itself around you and makes you care. I love it.
  • The Excavation of Mary Anning
    24 Apr. 2019
Strange, theatrical, and delightful! I love this play. I've loved Mary Anning since I was a kid and to watch her come to life on the page in this way is just so deeply satisfying, and that's this play: deeply satisfying. I would love a chance to see it staged.
  • You Were Mine

I'm in love with this play and it's complex simplicity. Such excellent dialogue and intimate moments woven throughout. I care so deeply for these characters.
  • The Violet Sisters
    24 Apr. 2019
I loved this play. I loved living in the world of these two sisters struggling to connect to one another and failing spectacularly. A remarkable two-hander that feels intimate and desperate in all the right ways. Gina's attention to details that fill a piece with meaning is also particularly strong. Such a wonderful and satisfying play.

What a wonderful play about love and death and speaking your truth. This short play packs a big wallop.
  • Orange Julius

Devastating and gorgeous. Orange Julius is a play that resonates. I love this script and all of its theatrical potential. There are so many reasons why we need this play on the American stage and beyond, please continue to stage, and teach this script.
  • The Caretakers
    6 Oct. 2018
A chilling and dark horror story that is never quite what it seems, McGuire’s THE CARETAKERS is a surreal journey into how we navigate the past and our perception of memory and the pain that lives there. Highly theatrical with so much for actors to discover, I recommend.
  • Arbor Falls
    5 Oct. 2018
Caridad’s precision with language crafts characters I immediately embraced. Arbor Falls is a town created from dust but rooted in longing- the longing to understand purpose and place, longing for change but afraid of how that might happen. ARBOR FALLS asks where the root of compassion lives. How we perceive one another and how much we can offer to those in need. There is an open and infinite sense to this script that I love. I’m eager to read more of the Psalm Cycle.
  • Toes for Tails

I love this play. The writing is crisp and unexpected- playful but full of impact- and all the while ushering in a beautiful darkness. Zoe is a fantastic playwright, and I can't wait to see where this goes.
