  • Rachel Bublitz: Flesh, Blood, & Glass

Bykowski achieves so much emotion in such little time, this short holds a lot of punch. I enjoyed the specifics of fathers and daughters, but also felt so much resonance to the same fear I felt before my children were born, that as parents we're inevitably going to fuck up. Really well written and powerful.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Agent Kilikili's Mom and his Male Order Bride

Great quirky 10-minute play with smart, funny dialogue, and totally engrossing characters. If you're looking for something a little on the silly side, look no further.

  • Rachel Bublitz: "N"

A wonderful play about race and artistry, legacy and opportunity. Pender makes her historic play urgent and immediate. I would love to see a full production with the sound and other design elements. Great work.

  • Rachel Bublitz: TOOLS

I was so drawn in by the possibility of movement in this piece, as well as the stage pictures you could make with the juxtaposition of the costumes and the dialogue and violence of the piece. I know that whenever I'm out alone at night a similar monologue runs through my head as I mentally prepare to defend myself if the need ever presents itself. Really powerful, I would love to see it produced.

  • Rachel Bublitz: IN TRAINING

There so much to enjoy in this short by Rachael Carnes, the easy fun dialogue, the desperation of the new hire, the confidence and insane directions from the manager, but I was most drawn to the fact that the play takes place in darkness. IN TRAINING gives its audience the ability to lean forward and use their imagination in a very fun and exciting way.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Tiny Baby

Super funny and well constructed, TINY BABY is a great ten-minute that is just the right size. It has all the awkward pain of being a fresh parent with the added bonus awkward pain of being back with people you didn't necessarily like from High School. A play where big is BIG and tiny is, well, it's fine, really, it's just, ya know, kinda tiny. Would love to see this produced!

  • Rachel Bublitz: A Growing Problem

A nicely laid out ten-minute with easy humor and a lot of heart. I really enjoyed all the characters in A GROWING PROBLEM, even with the personification of the plant almost stealing the show.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Fulfillment Center

In all the convenience with companies like Amazon, we forget, or ignore, the people on the other end of the process. FULFILLMENT CENTER is a wonderful short play that brings the humanity back to productivity. I really like that it was set at Christmas time as well, drives home the "stuff as happiness" theme as a contrast to togetherness and being connected to people.

  • Rachel Bublitz: A Tale of Two Ornaments - Part of the "Have Yourself a Twisty Little Christmas" Anthology

Really fun and cute piece for young performers, so much opportunity to get really creative with costumes and movement!

  • Rachel Bublitz: Velociraptors in the Garden

Hilarious and quick. A perfect blend of rich English non-sense and dinosaurs. I can imagine an audience rolling in their seats during a production.
