  • Rachel Bublitz: Retch Gag Spew Hurl Heave Eject

This monologue is visceral and the right actor would just murder an audition with it. The imagery is disturbing, but also perfectly specific. Well done.

  • Rachel Bublitz: The Woman American

Talk about a play that shows solidarity among women! This dark comedy is a joy to read and totally hilarious, I'd love to see it produced.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Stand Still

Talk about suspense! Just throw a freakin' grizzly bear into your monologue and that does the trick! I was instantly pulled into the life of this woman and her new husband. With STAND STILL Cooper does a fantastic job of giving three very different characters life and she does this with only ONE of those characters talking.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Goodnight

Really dark and really funny. I love the obsession of the smell, and the obsession to figure out what it is. Pazniokas handles time in a really refreshing way, and all of the characters are fascinating to listen to.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Everlast

Something that really excites me about Pazniokas' writing, and with this play, EVERLAST, is the role she puts the audience in. As audience members we are involved in the conversation and the stakes of these characters, and for me, that just pulls me more in to the story. I also love the specifics in EVERLAST, and the depth of both world and character created in so few pages.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Letter to my Brother

Fast and fierce, this short play is charged with emotion and depth. I especially enjoyed the huge scope of life Gonzalez was able to evoke in so few pages.

  • Rachel Bublitz: All This Togetherness

A creative and exciting ten-minute play that I didn't want to end. Pazniokas tells a complicated story with a huge cast overlapping all of their lines within just ten minutes, I am SO blown away by her talent. For anyone who's ever craved more family, or more belonging, this play will tug at your heart strings. Highly recommend for both reading and producing.

  • Rachel Bublitz: JUMP

Femia is so succinct in her short work, she doesn't waste one word. Everything expresses theme and character, and it's lovely to read. In JUMP we see two friends after the death of their friend, and both are so well drawn and complex. They share a great moment, that doesn't ever feel stagnant or overly sentimental. Highly recommend you read this, and more by Gina Femia!

  • Rachel Bublitz: Mirrors

Haunting and visceral. I think sometimes that people have a hard time supporting victims because if they accept that these victims were assaulted or raped, these people would have to accept that they were as well. With MIRRORS Femia shows tremendous care toward both of her characters and the subject at hand.

  • Rachel Bublitz: Bev.

So much is accomplished in so few pages. I love the production possibilities for this play, the sisters and their predicament, and of course MERMAIDS. Who doesn't love mermaids? The mermaid totally steals the show, and it makes me wish there was a whole full-length just about her. Femia has such a talent for writing characters that you just crave more from. Really well done.
