Which sister needs more help? You don't get that at the beginning of this short piece, but then you understand. Each is fighting to break a habit. A powerful examination of family trauma and addiction.
  • My Piano Doesn't Like Me

Everyone deserves tender care, even your piano. This clever short play brings a genius back from the dead to teach Jake what it means to care for and caress the keys. Just the way we'd all like to be treated. Bravo. this play is a delight.

I heard this play on the Two-Hander Slam Event and liked it then. I just re-read the piece and was moved again because this play is about compassion, understanding and helping another human being in need. It's beautifully drawn and uplifting.
  • Wait - A monologue

Such a sweet memory so lovingly told. That’s exactly how life flows. Beautiful images remind me of my sons growing up. Wait, now it’s my grandchildren.
  • Going There

The chances we take and the chances we miss. This is a "what if" piece if ever I've read one. Time passes and things change. What if they'd been different. There's a kind of sad yearning to this piece, but I hope Sam gets his way.

I’ll never think about the tooth fairy the same way again. A marvelous dark short play with a great twist and some laugh out loud lines.
  • Her Smile

This short, tricky piece will have you wondering "does he" or "doesn't he". A film noir kind of vibe, it has a really good ending. The kind that gives you a pleasant surprise. Love the voice over kind of delivery. Sexy in its own way.
  • Not Fade Away - a Monologue
    27 Sep. 2021
Not fair. That's all I can think about. And the cake in the garbage. Not fair. This memoir of a monologue is told by an unusual narrator, but one who sees things clearly to this day. A very different piece for a mature actress.

Oh, how this short play develops in just a few pages. Science projects will never be thought of the same way again. Funny and gruesome. A clever and deranged two hander perfect for a fall festival.
